My self-summary
I'm pretty much just a big jerk. Seriously. I need to find someone who's not an emotional wreck that just "gets" me and can have fun being a jerk herself. I'm not saying I'm the kind of jerk who frequently gets sued or thrown in jail - just the kind who likes to tease someone about their freckles while I kick their ass at pool. Don't worry - I know how to tone it down for those tender moments that occasionally come along, like meeting the President or applying for a loan. I also like snakes.

If you've read this far and you're not a sociopath, then you're probably open-minded and have a sense of humor. Congrats. I'm new to Fort Worth and don't know many people yet. In light of this, I'm looking to make new friends as well as possibly date someone. Yes, I'm a bit of a cowboy, but not the stereotypical kind. That probably comes from being born and raised in Austin. I'm very tolerant of different lifestyles, and I'm not religious in any traditional sense. I have an associate's degree in music, and I'm very dedicated to my craft. For my bachelor's degree, I came very close to being a natural science major at UT before going with nursing instead. The job market seemed a lot more flexible and promising. I firmly believe I made the right choice! I spent 3 years before grad school as a critical care RN, and I found it tremendously rewarding. Also, I feel like I deserve some type of merit badge or tax exemption to make up for all the crap I've put up with until I quit. So long, suckers!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently earning a master's degree in nurse anesthesia. After graduating, I plan to spend my life working, traveling, and writing/recording/performing music. I like to fancy myself as an amateur astronomer. My friends sometimes get annoyed when I point up in the sky and declare things like, "Check out Jupiter!" I'm also a fan of hiking - one of the best days of my life was reaching the summit on Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. Most of my spare time at the moment is spent transcribing Charlie Christian's guitar solos. I feel certain that big band swing and bebop music will be making a huge comeback within the next few decades, and I want to be ready for it.
I’m really good at
Songwriting. I'm a decent pool and chess player as well. I can also do a near-perfect Bob Dylan impersonation, but you have to buy me dinner before you can hear it.
