My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I always find it interesting when I reread my profiles. They capture me at a moment in time. A glimpse at who I think I am or where I think I am going. Who I was and where I have been are not as important as who I am and where I am going right now. You may feel like interrupting me with a, but who you were dictates who you are... Fantastic, stop reading, scroll to the bottom and message me right now! So how do I argue this obvious self contradiction? I don't. I'm ok with not always having to make perfect sense. I also enjoy the freedom this brings to me. You may find that any number of things. Opinions are wonderful that way.

Right now I am happy, active, enjoying life, finding my path, fighting my battles, going with the flow, going against the grain, listening and learning.

I have a great daughter and a great job which allows me to be the father I want to be.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am enjoying it and if I am not enjoying it, I will find some light in the darkness to enjoy.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Only really good? How about the best? I am the best at being me. What does that mean? I haven't figured it all out yet and I don't know if I want to. This is definitely where I can say that the journey is greater than the destination.

Oh but you need an answer? How about circumvention? Taking what others find difficult or impossible and making it happen. Making myself laugh in the process. Doing things differently, because it feels right, regardless of what others may think or do.

I'm also really good at being misunderstood. Which isn't negative at all. Explaining my thought process or actions only helps me understand myself better. If it helps others understand me as well, even better.

Finding balance, understanding both sides, making an argument for both, putting things into perspective and making the best decision based on the information available. I can always change my mind later.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I would say my smile, but that is me answering for someone else.

Unusual compliments from other people, at times, confirm the inclusion of my smile, but they talk about the way I bite my lip, my long fingers, or my long eyelashes.

So, to each their own, hopefully we both notice something we like.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - Not reading many books, but my commute has me listening to quite a few. I just finished The Demonologist. Thoroughly enjoy it.

Movies - Actions, comedies, independent, documentaries (Netflix has me watching movies I wouldn't normally watch)

Shows - Sons of Anarchy, Arrested Development, Battlestar Galactica, Falling Skies, Seinfeld, Breaking Bad, The Office and Parks and Recreation

Music - Rage Against the Machine, Breaking Benjamin, Bob's Day off, James Taylor (too many to list, love you Pandora)

Food - Not picky, I gravitate to some standards, but will try most once
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Laughter, Imagination, Inspiration, Blue Skies, Music and Tools

Now it says on the right or on the other tab, has a kid, why isn't she included? It almost goes without saying, but I'll add a little depth to it. These are all things I enjoy both individually, with my daughter and with others. The contagious laughter of a 6 year old. The places you can go by using your imagination. The inspiration brought about because I want more or better for myself and others. Blue skies for the long walks where she is too tired to go on and ends up on my shoulders for the last mile. Music to enjoy how rhythm skips a generation. And finally tools, tools to build her a playground from scratch, tools to show her the beauty of creating something, anything.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Finding the humor in a situation, learning from the past, having fun in the present and planning for the future. Figuring out the connections been the tangible and intangible.

Where all the photos of me went.

Those moments that change all the other moments. Those moments that put things in perspective. Those moments.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Decompressing from the work week, enjoying the moment.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
