My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an English guy and have been here in Frankfurt for over 4 years now and absolutely love it here :)

Although I'm English, I do speak pretty good German, although I sometimes wonder how I know loads of random words but then I find myself struggling to remember the day-to-day things... when am I ever going to use Dunstabzughaube (kitchen extractor fan) in normal conversation??

I'd say I'm a really chilled type of guy, I'm definitely not one to stress out over little things as I'm a hopeless optimist. This is in fact a very good thing because I am constantly in trouble or dire situations so my superhero ability to not really get that bothered about it comes in handy.

In my spare time I play a lot of music, mostly guitar and at the last count I had ten different instruments in my flat. My singing voice is sadly not one of them as it does not exist :(

I also build guitars with my friend and we hope to make it into a full-time business at some point, until then, it's just a lot of fun building and playing something I love I to do!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Stumbling from one self made disaster to the next, learning little to nothing from it, and then blindly walking into the next one.

They do however make good stories, but I just wish it wouldn't happen with such alarming regularity..

Right now I'm at the European Central Bank working as a project assistant, it's a lot of fun, but please don't ask me for a suitcase full of Euro notes, because 1, I'll get in a tonne of trouble again, and 2, I'm not sharing ;)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...forgetting people's names as soon as they tell me. It's a gift.

Like I said above, I seem to have an uncanny ability to end up in crazy situations and I can tell a good story about the ensuing events that I'm sure will raise a laugh or two, or at the very least make you shake your head in wonder. Again, a gift. I think so anyway.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Maybe my British accent over here..

Actually I've been told that I look really young for my age and I have very blue eyes. And that I'm a bit of a rascal. I like the last one the most..

I read quite a bit but it could be almost anything. I loved the Game of Thrones books and the Eye of the World Series. I like sciency books so Richard Dawkins would be on the list, and I will physically eat Haruki Murikami novels. If you've ever read A Confederancy of Dunces and loved it, then you are in good company.

I don't find much time to sit down and watch a film, and I have an annoying tendency to pause it halfway and then finish it days later. It's not a rare find to see the name of film written down somewhere in my flat and then something like 1:34:32 written next to it :s

Music is a big thing for me and I play of lot of rock, and spend a lot of time recording chill-out music at home, but when I sing it sounds like a cat dying so I leave that to the professionals :s . I've also been playing bass and guitar for a French dance/house band which is well out of my comfort zone but loads of fun nevertheless.

I prefer more to make music and so I'm hopelessly out of touch with current bands which is embarrassing but I am eager to hear new groups and will listen to all sorts.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Any one of my guitars,
A really comfy chair you can sit in and immediately relax,
A fan by the bed (Frankfurt is too hot...),
A working shower (again, Frankfurt is too hot),
Good friends with questionable ideas,
A laptop to keep in contact with the world
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
why the shops aren't open on Sunday and that somehow I seem to be the only person who sees something very, very wrong with this.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Maybe meeting friends for a drink, chilling out and playing music or whatever seems dangerous, exciting and probably a bad idea (they make the best stories)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sadly I am cursed with the inability to not grow great-looking facial hair. Unless patchy is your thing. And even then I'd think twice
