My self-summary
[Disclaimer]: If you are homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise unable to realistically navigate in a world where non cisgender individuals exist, don't message me (and kindly die in a fire).

For starters, you should probably Google me first. I'm not a difficult girl to Internet stalk and, well, if you don't like what you find on the first page of Google results I think it's reasonable to assume we probably aren't going to get along. I'm pro-gun, pro-legalization, pro-LGBT rights, and anti-religion.

I am funny-ish and immature in that ‘If you leave me in a room with an action figure, I am going to play with it’ sort of way. I am sweet, honest, trustworthy and frankly, a little too bold sometimes. I could tell you that I'm a voluptuous Linux ninja and you should ph33r my 5killz, or that my nickname should be hadouken because I'm down-right-fierce, but these traits don't fully encapsulate who I am. I can be a bit of a geek; I love table-top gaming, mostly getting together with friends and just having a good time. Honestly, if you knew me for a decade you'd never know how deep the rabbit-hole that is my nerddom goes. My interests are eclectic though, because I'm also a big fan of interior decorating, I love to cook, philosophize and write, and I pride myself on my homemaking capabilities.

I have a Gypsy's soul and aim to conquer the world one vacation, coffee shop, and bodega at a time. I've briefly explored the pacific coast of Costa Rica and traveled a bit of Asia, staying in Japan and then trekking my way into Thailand. And while I don't technically consider it "travel" I've been to every state with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii. Despite my wanderlust I have absolutely no sense of direction and you'll have to like this about me, or at least be amused when I ask if you're sure we're going the right way... for the dozenth time. Some things about me:

* I enjoy linguistics and communication (perhaps far too much).
* I would rather stay home and watch Anime or play co-op than go to a party.
* I can quote Firefly, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Futurama at the drop of a hat! (And frequently do.)
* I enjoy wine tasting.
* I am not afraid of public speaking and occasionally moonlight as a college lecturer.
* I have two tattoos and plan on getting more; many more.
* I can swear like a sailor and tell the dirtiest jokes.
* I can talk technology, philosophy, and politics and will wax it with passion.
What I’m doing with my life
Stumbling along, fumbling about, and generally just trying to figure out WTF I'm going to do with the rest of my life. I'm also discovering I can enjoy both aspects of being an ambivert.
I’m really good at
Writing (usually about myself), pondering the cosmos, League of Legends, comma-delimited lists, making snarky comments, inappropriate and crass humor, video games, cooking (mainly Italian food and baking), and interior decorating.
The first things people usually notice about me
My soul-penetrating eyes. Update: it appears as though everyone notices everyone else's eyes. So me, being the talented and unique snowflake that I am, wish to append this list (albeit far from surreptitiously) and include my outstanding lexicon as something people usually notice within the first few moments of meeting me. Oh, and I have moxie, too.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite books: "Art of War" by Sun Tzu, "Doors of Perception" by Aldous Huxley, virtually anything written by John Grisham, the "In Death" series by JD Robb is a guilty pleasure of mine, and last (though hardly least) the Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series.

Movies: So many great ones to pick from but my favs have to be Lock Stock, Snatch, Deathproof (Tarantino is my favorite director), The Replacement Killers, Funny Girl, Gone With The Wind, The Postman Always Rings Twice, Death at a Funeral (UK version, not that shitty Martin Lawrence remake), Veronika Decides to Die, Cashback, Kevin Smith movies (Chasing Amy was my fav.), and many others.

Shows: Eh, I don't really watch too much TV, and if I do it's usually either Investigation Discovery or The Food Network. Shows I have enjoyed include The West Wing, Dexter, TrueBlood, Newsroom, Weeds (up to season 5, after that fuck it), Nurse Jackie, Queer as Folk, The L Word, Archer, Family Guy, Futurama, Firefly, The Simpsons, and tons of anime.

Music: My tastes are extremely eclectic and I listen to pretty much everything. I'm a country girl at heart but I also enjoy Rock, Metal, Industrial, Alternative, Acoustic, Progressive, House, Trance, DubStep, Electronica, Dance, Drum 'n Bass, Rap, R&B/Hip-Hop, j/k-pop/rock, and even Classical. Right now I'm in a heavy trip-hop/electronica vibe so my playlist includes Massive Attack, Handsome Boy Modeling School, MGMT, Ellie Goulding, and The XX.

Food: I love Sushi. Srsly. Unagi is <3. As a Sicilian woman I cook some of the best Italian food you'll ever have and I love to bake! Cookies, cupcakes, pies, cakes, croissants, confections. I'm a huge foodie. Paula Dean is my hero.
The six things I could never do without
* t3h Intarwebz
* video games
* my handy-dandy pistol
* my friends and family
* physical intimacy
* my incredibly awesome sense of humor
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My life, my future, how to make this world a better (and safer) place for all people, and other existentialist things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Smoking hookah, at the shooting range, putting in hours at the dojo, stargazing, or vegging out playing video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was on MTV's "The Real World: Brooklyn". Not exactly private, I know, but it's worth stating! Seriously, Google me first and if you're still interested in getting to know that nerdy "girl next door" hit me up!
I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi girls
  • Ages 27–36
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
You are an open-minded individual who is kinda geeky and isn't intimidated by an intelligent woman with a strong sense of self. Although what I'm really looking for is someone with a sense of humor who is fun to be around; someone who won't find it odd when I talk about how defensible a place is in case of zombies (you would be surprised how often I get weird looks about that one). Someone who understands all about game night. I've been labeled a "free-spirit" on several occasions, though I believe that is merely a polite way of saying I'm chaotic; ideally I'd like to find someone who has a clear sense of self with ambitions for their future who is flexible enough to embrace my chaos. I hope to find someone whose passion for life and adventure rivals my own, so when I get that look in my eye they aren't afraid to just pack an overnight bag and hit the ground running.

In bullet-point format ideally I'm looking for someone who:

* Is open-minded.
* Has a sense of humor.
* Is intelligent or well-spoken (INT or CHA, they can't *both* be dump stats).
* Is ambitious.
* Is emotionally available.
* Is family-oriented, honest, and loyal.

Good relationships are based on great friendships, so ultimately I'm looking for a friend who I can fall in love with. Overall I am the nicest thing that hasn’t happened to you; the fun girl with a strange sense of humor and little to no shame about it.
