What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spend a lot of my time tricking people into thinking that I’m smarter than I am. I’ve done a pretty good job; I think the glasses help, and maybe the two master’s degrees--but I haven’t won that “dream job” yet, the dream of somehow being financially successful without actually working, so I guess I have to keep trying.

I am a writer. And yes I get paid, though I wouldn’t say I’m rolling in the dough; I would say I barely get enough to make dough, but such is the creative life sometimes. Eventually I will make the big bucks and when I do, perhaps I can buy a loaf of bread from the store, perhaps that store can be Whole Foods, then, then I will know that I am finally successful.

When I’m not writing, I am probably reading, or drinking or drinking while reading. Or sleeping. I really enjoy sleeping.

Words. What they mean, how to put them in a comprehensive order, how to get beyond the symbol of the word itself to the deeper meaning behind it, how there are so many I do not know, why some people can use them better than others, why many people just skip reading words altogether and look at pictures instead.

You hate bananas.

Or you dig deep stimulating philosophical conversation and want to pretend to be smart with me.

Or you actually are smart, that works too.
