My friends say I'm a hermit, too alone, funny, optimistic, cute & sweet (hate those) but I think I'm quiet, grounded, compassionate, sensible, blunt, and too smart for my own good. I'm more than just a nurse and mom..I make a good friend! I'm also organized, a bit bossy (comes from being a mom), a soft touch, stubborn..

I love nothing more than sleeping in(if you wake me, be prepared to deal with the consequences), and curling up with a good book (usually sci-fi/fantasy) later(no I don't wanna watch the game unless it's the Rams -I'm reading).

My family and my career are really important to me, but not my whole world. Just ask - if you truly want to know, I'll be happy to share.. I spend a lot of time working, but also like to play(after the work is all done).

Most people take the easy way. Not me! I do it right the first time - and do it well. (hate re-doing things..)

Don't tell anyone, but I'm a closet social butterfly..I wish! Hermit is more like..don't get me wrong, I like people, but I'm just not a party animal-I'll play if the mood and the people are right, tho..

I'm blunt and honest and I would never change..or want to. Ok, I'm working on the blunt part..my boss tells me it's not always a good thing.

The man of my dreams would be flexible and funny, and smart, and use the big brain more than the small brain, and, and and...(employed is good....so is fairly close to me geographically..) I expect integrity and honesty in a person. I'm still looking for the rainbow in the clouds...I love rainbows..and penguins..they both just make me smile.. Basically, I'm hoping to find a friend ..is that too much? Let's talk and see what happens! And finally, I appreciate interest from whomever, but if you don't add a photo, or live leagues away, I'm much less likely to get excited about it, k? Take care!!

I feel like I spend more time working and doing chores, than doing things that make life worthwhile. I'm working on changing that. I'm at a place in my life where I can make significant changes. I don't have kids at home anymore, and nothing to really dictate how or where I live my life. So what am I doing? Working on figuring out what I want to do, where I want to do it, and if there is anyone I want to share my life (or part of it) with.

I'm fairly good at a few things - reading, writing, listening, gardening, sleeping! Nothing stands out that I'm reallllly good at though.

People usually notice, and comment on my hair first (unless I have it up). It's a bit long...

I have so many favorite books....the genre I like best is sci-fi/fantasy. Many favorites for movies and music, too. I prefer action or comedy movies - chick flicks once in a while, but not often. Music is usually tuned to rock, or easy listening...or Celtic. Depends on my mood.

Food...hmm...chicken, seafood, veggies. I could live on those. But I like most stuff.

Who thinks of this stuff? I couldn't do without...air, water, food....three down, three to go. Good books, good friends, some time to myself regularly.

Physics. Ok, really...ummm...work, chores, when my next vacation is...

Friday nights I'm usually hanging out with a friend catching up on what's going on in our lives, and figuring how to fix the world.

That I never sleep alone.....my cats sometimes leave me enough room to sleep in my bed. :)
