My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have been in the Army since high school, in the Reserves, and went active duty after graduation from college. I have two BAs, one in Psychology and one on Philosophy, in addition to my MBA. I am the youngest of three boys between my father and mother and have three step-brothers. Dad is from "the South" and mom is Canadian.
I love to build little projects, write letters to the editor, and solve problems. I don't like the bar scene, don't go to church, and the military is very restrictive of who I am allowed to date in the military, so it makes for finding someone very difficult, hence my being here. I am currently, and have been for the past 11 years, a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter maintenance test pilot. I do not have my ethnicity listed in my Details because I refuse to be referred to by a color.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently deployed to Afghanistan, returning in a couple of months.
When I return, I will be bouncing between my home in Athens, AL (which is outside Huntsville, AL) on the weekends and my work at Fort Campbell, KY (Clarksville, TN) during the week. This means I do a lot of travelling through the Nashville area since it is between the two and not far away from either.
About a year left in the military before I retire and start my new life. Looking to get a job in the military industrial complex or go to law school.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Adapting to the situation.
I am also great with children. (My friends' assessments, not mine.) I guess because I have never let the inner child in me die, still allowing the world to present its wonders to me with an open, and sometimes naïve, mind.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I love getting to know people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Just finished reading "Everything I Ever Needed to Know About Economics I Learned from Online Dating" by Paul Oyer. I love scifi and fantasy fiction books, movies and shows. I like Malcolm Gladwell as a non-fiction author. I enjoy all kinds of music except rap and heavy metal. I like all kinds of food, especially Greek, Turkish, and Indian.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I can't think of one. There are plenty of things I would rather not do without, like my car.
Of course, if I were married, the number one thing I would not want to be without, would be my spouse and our children.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future of humanity.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching a movie at home or in the theater depending on whether I don't care that it is an older movie and want to be able to hit the pause button, or I want to see a new release, otherwise, with my setup at home, there is not much difference (Digital picture and sound, but my chairs are more comfortable and I can pause.) Or playing on my computer or reading a book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am an atheist.

You wish to have a interesting conversation or tell me how to improve my profile. If I happen to say hi to you, I would appreciate and respect a "not interested" reply rather than no reply at all. Communication is the key to relationships which is why we are here. A little courtesy goes a long way. Good luck to you all in your searches.
