What to say about me? First and foremost, I am the dad of a beautiful 7 year old little girl that lives with me. And with that, I realize I've probably spooked most of the audience. If I haven't, please read on.

I'm pretty up front about my thoughts and opinions...not in an offensive way, but I don't sugar coat it either. I've been known to get on my soap box from time to time.
I have a cynical, dry, sarcastic and somewhat geeky sense of humor, sometimes abrasive and most often not politically correct. I try to find humor in (most) anything.

I do have a hang up with grammar and punctuation. Poor grammar makes me cringe.

I'm pretty picky, and not looking to date just for the sake of dating. I'd really like to find someone with long term potential, not just a hook up.

I have a great job that I love. Not one to make me the next millionaire, but it supports my daughter and I and I enjoy doing it. Plus I have the coolest boss ever.
After jumping into the workforce right out of high school, I decided it was time to get a degree, which I'm almost done with (two degrees actually).
Beyond that, I'm just trying to be the best dad I can to an incredible little girl and hoping I can turn her into a productive member of society.

I've been told I look a lot younger than I am. Also, I can be somewhat quiet until I get to know a person...but watch out after that.

I like a variety of shows, some of my favorites include Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, Eureka, The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother. I loved LOST when it was on.

I'm a pretty big sci-fi fan as well, so the triumvirate of Star Trek, Star Wars and Stargate applies. Really though I love movies in general, in pretty much any genre. I'd like to think I'm well rounded in that respect.

Music, I mostly listen to 80s rock - hair bands and such (Poison, GNR, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Kiss, etc.) I LOVE power ballads.

My favorite book of all time is Ender's Game, I'm totally pumped the movie is coming out later this year. Really, anything by Orson Scott Card, he is an amazing author.

Random and bizarre things. Really, my mind goes crazy places sometimes. I like to think it makes me an interesting person though...either that or a crazy one. The jury's out on that.

As I have my daughter, it's mostly Disney movies and popcorn, or making Smores by the fire on the patio.
I'm not a huge fan of going out. I'm not really a crowd person. Once in a while it's fun to do, but on a regular basis, I'd much rather do something like movie night on the couch or a glass of wine by the fire. Especially with a special someone.
