I'm pretty up front about my thoughts and opinions...not in an offensive way (unless you're uber sensitive), but I don't sugar coat it either. I do make snarky comments from time to time. I have a penchant for getting up on my soap box and I like to poke the bear. And I realize that comes across as making me sound like an arrogant jerk - I'm really not. I'm just passionate about my opinions.
I have a macabre, cynical, dry, sarcastic, unapologetic and somewhat geeky sense of humor, sometimes abrasive and most often not politically correct. I try to find humor in (most) anything (jokes or subjects involving hurting kids are off limits). I'd love to find someone who "got" my sense of humor. I love to laugh and make other people laugh.
I do have a hang up with grammar and punctuation. Poor grammar makes me cringe. Please don't ever say "I seen". Just don't. Also, a PSA: u, r, n and y...these are letters to form words. These are NOT words. The More You Know.
I'm not a huge fan of going out...I'm somewhat of an introvert. Once in awhile is fun, but it's the exception instead of the rule. I can be fairly shy (and overwhelmed) in crowds, and tend to get slightly claustrophobic in that type of atmosphere. Smaller, more intimate gatherings (think 2-4 ish people) are more of my cup of tea (which I also like - tea that is).
My ideal match would fill the empty seat next to the firepit on a Friday night, help me finish the bottle of wine, listen to my soapbox moments or laugh hysterically at silly inside jokes. But also be someone with whom I can have a deep, philosophical, intelligent conversation with. Or even better, an in-depth semi-serious conversation about silly things. People are too serious and worried about what others think to let their inner child loose.
I'm pretty picky, and not looking to date just for the sake of dating. I'd really like to find someone with long term potential. Someone I can call my best friend.
