I'm not sure how seriously to take these things but I would like to think I am: equally carefree and responsible, a big traveler, a food enthusiast (not the same as a foodie, I don't take a million pictures of my food), a budding social justice advocate and someone who is always, always, always looking for new and interesting things and people.

Finished college, but definitely haven't stopped learning and this won't be the academic finish line for me. Moving to D.C. to work for one of my favorite non-profits. Otherwise, I spend a lot of time riding my bike, sampling new foods and exploring wherever I am as much as possible. Need to pick up my guitar more, definitely a goal for this year.

Writing! Especially journalism. I never feel a stronger sense of purpose than when I'm writing an article, particularly personality profiles or those related to issues surrounding social inequalities.

I would say my open personality. I feel like everyone on this site says this, but I really think I get along with all types of people and hardly ever feel uncomfortable in a given situation that isn't too extreme like getting held up or something.

Excluding sci-fi and novels about teenage vampires, I really like all books that are well-written. The same goes for movies, though my tolerance for action-adventure and sci-fi movies is low unless well-crafted. Any movies that are predictable are not for me, and I don't like to watch movies more than once unless they are absolutely incredible.

As for shows, I'm down with Shameless, Modern Family and Happy Endings, but Friends is the best soul food I have ever (and believe will ever) come across.

Music- and food-wise, almost anything goes. As a result of living in the Caribbean and becoming addicted to its music, the majority of what I have listened to in the past few years is soca and dancehall.
