My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Equally carefree and responsible, big traveler (like .001% of people on OKC), food enthusiast (not the same as a foodie, I don't take a million pictures of my food), social justice advocate...just a little lady who is always looking for new and interesting things and people.

**update: I'm planning a big bike trip from DC to New Orleans late July to early August. Trying to do it in 20 days. If you're interested in joining for some/all, hmu.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
A professional Robin Hood for one of my favorite non-profits. If you wanna join the ranks send me a few sentences on how you think you might be most useful and I'll get back to you.

MPH for domestic violence prevention is on the horizon.

My bike is my baby and no one will ever come between us. I challenge anyone out here in this big bad city to a race, my prize TBD.

EXPLORING always. Dancing when time permits (always).

Trying to be mindful in all that I do.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
POSITIVITY! And writing, with my main interest there being journalism. Reflecting on and writing about social inequalities is my shiz, even if the only audience is myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
An open personality that feels comfortable in almost any situation. I'm stubborn, but always willing to listen.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Excluding sci-fi and novels about teenage vampires, I really like all books that are well-written. Also Toni Morrison is a vastly underrated literary goddess. Narrative of the Life of FD.

The same goes for movies, though my tolerance for action-adventure and sci-fi movies is low unless well-crafted. Any movies that are predictable are not for me, and I don't like to watch movies more than once unless they are absolutely incredible. Life is Beautiful is one such movie.

As for shows, I'm down with Shameless, Modern Family and Orange is the New Black, but Friends is the best soul food I have ever (and believe will ever) come across, despite it being so overtly white.

Music- and food-wise, almost anything goes. As a result of living in the Caribbean and becoming addicted to its music, the majority of what I have listened to in the past few years is soca and dancehall. Anything that makes me wanna move is higher up on my lists.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends, Family & Holidays (that's one, right?)
A Thirst for Knowledge
My Bike
Airplanes, or other equally fast (or faster) forms of transportation
Good wine and better cheese
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Social justice, esp. race relations and feminism. Also, dances I would perform if I were I really good dancer.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out enjoying good food, drinks and company.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sometimes use this site for finding a good movie to watch. Love movies, but not very good as choosing one that fits my interests, so I look at others' top picks and Google the summaries.
