My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I left the USA in 2005 in a quest to circumnavigate the world by land. And now, nearly 10 years later, I've still only made it halfway... But, hey, I'm taking my time. This trip is about the journey, not the destination.

Along the way, I've learned a lot about the world and about myself, met a ton of great people and seen a lot of amazing places, and I've built a fantastic career.

I've been in China for a few years now, and I think it's going to take a while to figure this place out (especially this language!), so I've decided to put my backpack down for a while and enjoy some quality time here.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.

I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Turning a situation around to my advantage. ;-)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my hat.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
shoes, a backpack, some local currency, my Kindle, my passport, someone intelligent to have a conversation with.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how easy everything really is, and wondering why people make it all so complicated.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
sitting outside somewhere, having a drink and a good, earnest chat with friends (or anyone who wanders by - I like strangers, especially strange ones!).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't keep secrets - they're for people who feel guilty.
