My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I am Allen, I am in my early 30s, I am from Taiwan and I moved to U.S. since about 10 years old. I am a Leo if that matters at all. (it shouldn't) I enjoy camping, snowboarding, hiking, scuba diving, trying different kinds of foods and enjoy a whole lot of offbeat humor. I like to see things, places, museum, zoo, aquarium… etc.

I am an independent person; you could say that I grew up on my own. I am used to do things on my own instead of asking for help therefore my personality is leaning toward introverted and I am not very good with words. I suppose that it is easier for me to convey with action than with spoken words. This is probably my biggest downfall but I think I make it up in other areas.

On top of my bucket list is to watch World Rally Championship live and see northern light in person. I don’t know when I will do that but most of my milestone in life has been met, I definitely want to do that one day. I haven't done so but I am also up for skydiving, level 4+ white water rafting, para gliding, surfing and more.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a career that occupies a significant portion of my life. I guess you can say that right now my life revolves around work. My realistic goal is to achieve partial financial freedom.

I also want to be happy. That is not to suggest that I am a sad bear, no. I guess I am exploring all the things I haven't done.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am good at problem solving. When I was little my mom calls me " The Destroyer” because I take things apart and I don’t know how to put them back. Now, I can look at most objects or events and able to figure out the mechanics or the logic behind it without prior training. I am a great learner from touching/clicking/poking/stabbing . I used like to get my hands dirty with cars, I guess you can say that I am mechanically inclined but I am too old to devote that much effort/time into that hobby. I even gave up manual transmission just so I can drive like a "normal" person. :D
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes people’s first impression of me is awkwardness or distance. It takes a little bit time to bring me out of my shell, after that I will shift to neutral; however in a crowded settings I am still a bit shy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like to listen to classical and soundtracks. Basically something with string, especially cello, otherwise alternative does it pretty well for me. I love soundtracks especially during gym or concentrated work hours. Hans Zimmer, Posthaste, Audiomachine Two Steps From Hell... I also like songs from Coldplay, 30 Seconds From Mars, Red Hot Chili Pepper, Neyo, Usher… etc. Through I have no strong preference or artist loyalty. Most of the time I don’t know who sings what, all I am able to tell you is whether I like it or not.

I prefer reading over TV. I try to pull titles from “1000 Books To Read Before You Die” or books that develop my other interests; I am learning a little about SQL programming for the purpose of my line of work. Currently I am reading “Les Miserable” and “Just Listen”; I try to get a little done on a daily basis. My favorite books are "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" and "Tuesdays with Morrie".
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee – the combination of sweet, bitter, sour and milk has to be balanced. I like to sit in a local café near my home on Sunday, have brunch and read for an hour or two.

Video Game – some of the best compositions and stories are actually from video games. Mass Effect, Bioshock just touches my heart.

Real Friends – hard to come by, hard to keep, I cherish what little real friends I have.

Feeling Motivated – It gives me a sense that I am alive, that I have a purpose in life.

Health – I try to live a healthy life style: I work out 2 to 3 times a week doing mostly cardio with light weight training. On weekdays I keep a low fat/sugar/sodium diet with salad, brown rice, frozen veggies and lean protein.

Laughing– I have a really low laughing point; I can laugh at the driest joke. I am the ultimate stand up comedy audience lol.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I know exactly what I want in life, how to get there and I am making decent efforts to get there. There are times I look back and evaluate myself and what I can improve upon. That's not to say that I dwell in the past but simply trying to answer the question: "How can I improve myself?"
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hang out with friends, movie night or video game night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I know what my strengths and weaknesses are. I am very confident in my ability to perform tasks, analyse scenarios, problem solving... basically making something happen. However, when it comes to human interactions, these kind of things does not matter. I am unable to connect with many people and it's my biggest disappointment. Don't get me wrong, I like to be around people, I just don't know what to say or what not to say sometimes.

Sadly it is not something I can fix just from being a book. I have since accepted the fact that this is who I am but I still do read books toward this problem to steer me closer to the right direction.

Most of my relationships are long term, shortest being a year and longest being about four. With each women I been with I learn more about what I want and how I should treat her. I like educated women who isn't afraid NOT to wear makeup, who is sweet and like to share things in her life. I like someone that is REAL and down to earth, knows what she wants in life and capable of smiling… a lot.
