For my course we're doing a bunch of films this month, which we've been preparing for since last year. I just did cameraman today and yesterday for one of them, and I gotta say it was a great laugh. This guy in the group brought along another camera to do a "making of" documentary, and apparently plenty of shots of my ass were taken as I was leaning over with my camera.

During our break between filming today, we sat around and played Super Mario World, the first time I've played the game in years. We were falling over laughing at each other playing it. It's more fun playing this game than most modern games, definately. What was really weird is that the guy directing is 18, so when my childhood was spent wasting many hours on games like this, he wasn't even walking yet.

Anyway, next up - my film. I wrote it (still writing it, really) and I'm directing it next week. Really nervous about it actually. It's going to be the most professional project I've been in charge of. I've got excellent locations. This clothes shop, and an excellent bar/restraunt. I'm going to do outdoor scenes too. I've got a bunch of actresses and an actor to boss around. My production manager is going to bring two skateboards, so we can see if we can't come up with a makeshift dolly for the camera. And I've got an idea in my head for how we can pull off jib/crane shots. If it works out I'll fill you in!
