My self-summary
As a self-employed creative-person-supporter, my passion is helping fantastic people do what they love. While I used to do freelance internet application development, I found my true calling in 2004, sold my house, and spent the next seven years on the road. (Actually, I went on the road and then sold my house.)

My on-the-road days are done for a while, though. I've settled in Seattle and plan to stay for the foreseeable future. I satisfy my travel bug with the occasional business trip. On the other hand, I will take any excuse to fly to the UK or Europe. I've planned and booked enough trips there for clients that I think I'm quite prepared for my own.

I'm not what you might call a normal guy. Some may even call me weird, and I'm comfortable with that. Check out my pictures to see the long hair, unusual fashion sense, and unusual hobbies. When no one is looking, I dance and play with fire and run on stilts. Most of the time, though, I am the man behind the curtain, helping fabulous people make magic.

Always endeavoring to think the best of others, I am slow to anger and quick to forgive. When comfortable with my surroundings, I am an outrageous flirt. I prefer the company of youthful, playful, intelligent, and worldly people who live their lives with good humor.
What I’m doing with my life
I manage a couple of bands and handle business logistics for other sorts of creative types. I also do some creative work of my own in the realm of video production (live streaming and multi-camera shoots for music videos and concert DVDs) and providing graphic design for clients' show posters, album covers, and media kits.

A lot of my recent energy has gone to the logistics of independent DVD distribution with a small Seattle-based film team; working the kinks out of our new order fulfillment service and doing project management and consulting for a lot of kickstarter campaigns. Perhaps you've heard of a few of my clients' projects:

JourneyQuest - a webseries
Gamers 3 - a feature film
Marian Call's European Adventure
Tricky Pixie: There and Back Again
Humans and Households / Natural One - a couple of short films
PWNED - a novel by Matt Vancil
I’m really good at
helping people motivate themselves. I've often thought that my calling in life is to be an "artist prodder." I love to cultivate creative people and inspire them to find their joy and find ways to share it with the world. My favorite form of success is helping an artist make a living at living her dreams.
The first things people usually notice about me
While I have unusually long, straight hair with shiny metallic highlights, some people may first notice my fantastic trousers. Long haired guys are somewhat common in the circles I frequent.

It may also be fair to say that people notice the company I keep.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love to consume media of all sorts. It was my easiest form of escape, when on the road. In books, I prefer mentally engaging works - preferably involving puzzles and mysteries and complex storytelling styles. In music, I must _absolutely_ insist on singers with perfect pitch and decent voices. For live shows: circus arts, bright lights, flashing colors. TV... pretty much any TV will suck my brain right out. I think it's my ultimate weakness. I like watching it too much, so I try to watch it as little as possible.

Books:
"Good Omens" by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams
Recently, I've enjoyed the Miles Vorkosigan series by Lois McMaster-Bujold and the new series by Mira Grant that starts with "Feed"

Movies:
The Game, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Princess Bride, Grosse Pointe Blank, and Validation

Music:
I'll tried for a while to refrain from going into a commercial about the bands I represent, other than to say I work with musicians that play Gypsy Celtic Folk Rock for Naughty Punk Faeries... and a Pixie Pirate Queen of the Bards... and a trio of strong southern women skirting the edges of Alt-Rock, Americana, Jazz, Folk-Hop, and Mythpunk. I also do a bit of occasional support work for a loosely knit collective of touring musicians.

And then there's a wide range of stuff I listen to for fun: KMFDM, Tim Minchin, Tori Amos, The Indigo Girls, Dar Williams, The Beatles, Jonathan Coulton, Davinci's Notebook, Faun, Kan'nal... Tribal and industrial and comedy and geeky and melodic and classic. And then there's the dance music: swing, blues, latin... and I'll stop there for now.
The six things I could never do without
Music, laughter, dancing, creativity, companionship, and inspiration.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Inventions, friends, past mistakes, grand plans for the future, stories, and mental puzzles.
On a typical Friday night I am
hopefully not working a concert... at least, for the next few months. I wouldn't mind _seeing_ a show or two that I'm not involved in. At this point, I could just as easily spend any given evening curled up on a couch as zipping around town on a motorcycle or swapping jokes and stories with a circle of friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I identify strongly with the Rabbit archetype: mischief-maker, shapeshifter, storyteller. Although I don't think I am a rabbit, I sometimes like to think of myself as one. I love having my ears stroked, and my favorite place in the world is curled up in the lap of a pretty lady.

I used to identify just as strongly with the Crow archetype while idolizing the Raven archetype, but I grew out of that. Feel free to ask me about how I was a Rabbit pretending to be a Crow that wanted to be a Raven.

I am naturally polyamorous, but not necessarily poly-sexual. That means I love freely and will happily fall in love with many people at once, but I am perfectly capable of exclusive relationships and I am content with sexual monogamy.

Sexual Poly (the way I would practice it) requires a lot of effort because it requires communication and full consciousness and consensus between everyone involved. I'm not sure I can handle that kind of "complicated" right now. This is, of course, open to negotiation.
