I am the charming dining companion that you have probably read
about in restaurant reviews. But; beyond that, I enjoy all the odd
and quirky moments that life has to offer, along with the unusual
people that cross my path.
Am usually found chuckling at the stupid things that people do.
And, I do include myself amongst that tribe.
I can be a very tough audience when I catch one in a lie.
Non-judgemental regarding lifestyle choices. I believe that
everyone is trying to get by the best that they can in this life
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying beautiful sunsets, great wine, movies, scrumptious meals,
and friends to share it all with.
I am at present married in name only. Have moved out and separating
from my partner. Will be starting divorce proceedings within the
year. I thought that full disclosure would be in everyone's best
I’m really good at
Cooking. Love to slice and dice. It's very therapeutic. Knitting
and needlework. Enjoy the tools, the ritual and gaining the
knowledge to be able to produce things that are pleasing to the
palate and the eye.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes and my positive attitude. I have also been told that I have
a nice voice. The combination of my perceptions of situations along
with my presentation of them causes people to laugh. Not a bad
thing all in all.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite Books: The Settlement Cook Book, Gone With The Wind, Love
In The Time of Cholera, Naked in Baghdad, anything written by Molly
Ivins, The Lighthouse Keeper's Wife by Connie Small, The Time
Traveler's Wife, The Illustrated Man-I Sing the Body Electric is
amazing, EE Cummings, Walt Whitman. Favorite foods: It's a toss up
between French and Italian cuisine. My comfort foods are: wings
w/blue cheese, beef on weck, matzoh ball soup, blintzes and potato
pancakes. Most favorite desserts are Napoleon and creme caramel.
Dessert......mmmmmm. Lemon ice is amazing in the summer. And love
to finish up a meal with a 25 year old port, extra sharp cheddar
cheese and some nuts. What more could you ask for? Oh, yeah, a
glass of some single malt scotch.
The six things I could never do without
Music- Can do w/o tv but not a stereo or streaming computer. Books-
Wander into bookstores & spend hours. Especially love the smell
of old books. Fabric-Love textiles & needlework. Friends- Life
would be so empty w/o these in my life. Stimulating conversation.
Hugs-being enfolded w/warmth is the best.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Interesting combinations of spices and herbs. Justice and equality
for everyone. Improving my life and becoming a more complete person
that does not prejudge others. Enjoying each moment for what it is.
On a typical Friday night I am
Cooking, hanging out with friends, wandering through art galleries,
hitting a happy hour, investigating used book stores, knitting,
doing needlework, reading, watching a movie, soaking in a bath. As
the Billy Joel song goes, "Bottle of Red, bottle of white, all
depends upon your appetite."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
To paraphrase what Mark Twain said about a woman telling one her
age, " A woman who will tell you that, will tell you anything."
It's not private if I reveal it. Kind of like lingerie. One does
not have to see everything to become intrigued. And, continuing in
the clothing vein, I do not air my dirty laundry in public.
However, I do like eating frozen berries before they thaw out.
You should message me if
You are an intelligent, interesting person with a kind and generous
My desire is to find a friend, companion and lover; someone with
whom I can share thoughts and dreams with while we encourage each
other to be our best persons.
That type of relationship takes time. So, if a quick path to the
bed is your intention; you would need to look elsewhere.
