I am a laid back person, who is usually open to new things and is interested to learn and experience things that I have never seen or done before. I am rather shy and introverted at the beginning, but I open up to people that I trust and I know better. It takes some time to get to know me better, but it is worth the effort since when it clicked, it stay’s like that. In general I am mostly driven by logic and not always good with picking up the little emotional signs that people put out instead of saying what they want or not want.
I love being outside, no matter what the weather is. I actually rather be outside in bad weather, like rain, since then places are less populated and you are able to see things in a different perspective. I enjoy the company of a good friend or being in a small group rather than large groups or crowded events.
Having a nice interesting talk with some, good homemade food and may be a glass of wine, would rather be my perfect evening, as going out to a club.
I like to read, I go running and to a gym, and I like to work. Work is a big part of my life and I am definitely not the 9:00 to 5:00 working type. I take pride in what I am doing, and always try to do it as good as I can, but I still think I am not annoying towards other people in that regards.
As I job I am working as a mechanical engineer at a pharmaceutical contract manufacturer. The company is a subsidiary from the German based mother company and that is also where I am from. I am a German immigrant and I am living in the United States for almost eight years now.

As I have said I am a mechanical engineer and I am working usually long hours. I am traveling to Germany and within the US for business on occasions. I also like to travel with in the US and outside of the US for vacation. I am interested in a lot of things and I am always open to try out new things that I do not know about.
As sport I am running and I used to go cycling a lot when I was living in Germany. Around here I did not find the right roads to cycle on and so I stick with running. I am having a gym membership and I am also actually using it.

For most of the time I am pretty good with listening to people that want to talk to me. I am open to give advice if that is wanted as well, or just listen for comfort. I am pretty good with technical things and I am a decent handyman as well. I can cook and bake, and so far most of the people did not only take second helpings, but came back for more dinners after the first one, so I guess they liked it. (May be it was also only because it was free, you never know.)

Well, I guess when you will see me the first time you will notice that I am a average tall guy, but fairly skinny. I am fair skinned even in summer, darker blond short hair and when I will talk to you, you will recognize my German accent.

Most of the books that I am reading are sciences book, like from Brian Green, Richard P. Feynman, Steven Hawking, Biographies and Novels. I am also reading fiction books like Steven King. I do enjoy reading the old masters, like War and peace and Anna Karenina fro, Leo Tolstoy.
I am not that big of a movie buff, but I love movies like Casablanca, Meet Joe Black, The English Patient, Once about a time in the West, High noon, and movies like that. I also love fully animated movies, but general I am open to see mostly everything on the big screen.
When it comes to music, I am open to all music; I love Rock music, but also like classical music. The only music that I am not getting a hang on is Rap Music and the techno and house music but maybe I was not listening to the right performers there.
When it comes to food, I again have no favorite, I love Italian food, I love Asian food, I love Indian food, and I found a lot of American food I like. I am not a junk food guy and not a big meat eater; also I would not consider myself a vegetarian.

Well, I definitely could not life without books to read and without the internet to be able to “Google” things that are sparking my interest. Other than that, as long as the basic needs are covered I would be fine.

I think a lot about a lot of things, each at the time. I am thinking about things that are on my radar since they sparked my interest and these things are changing. I basically have not one or two things that I am thinking about a lot, but I have a lot of things that are coming back regularly.

Most likely I would be at the gym or at home reading a book, surfing the internet or playing on the computer.

Well, I guess when you did read carefully, I can and have to admit that I like women you are rather dominant / active in a good way. Not that I do not bring anything in and like to be pushed around, I just do not want to lead all the time. I rather am lead from the right person.

If you are open and willing to put some effort in things and people and are able to see things in a slightly different light and walk off the beaten track. Remember I am a foreigner.

If you are willing to accept that I am kind of on the slow track when it comes to people; that we should get good friends first and give the romance time to develop.
If you are woman with your own life, your own goals and your own likes and dislikes, then you are my type of woman. If you need somebody who is taking care of you all the time, then I cannot provide that. It is not that I am not caring and though full, I am just not be able to focus on one person all the time, since I am focused on work, sports, and other things that interest me.
I like active woman who like to be take the initiative; have their own thoughts on life and their own friends. Women who are willing to lead the way once in a while and do not need to be lead and cared for all the time.
