Well, I'm a guy originally from Australia. Have travelled extensively since my childhood and also with my work. Although, not so much recently, but hoping to change that. Also, I do aim to return to Australia at some point.

I had not updated my profile much for some time, and my mind set has changed some what. I have now made some changes to it, but this is just a start to a new profile.

I think at heart I am adventurous, but have to admit that over recent years have been in hibernation. Am planning on changing that soon.

Some years ago I surprised myself and had a go at salsa dancing. Had a bit of a break from it for a few years but back at it again. I'm ok, not great, but if you want to get out and give it a try I am certainly willing.

Really appreciate the wonder of nature and like the idea of getting out away from it all. Hoping to act on this at some point soon.

well, this one feels like a job application question. I would say I'm good at thinking about complex concepts. Also very disciplined, perhaps too much.

Actually, I wouldn't know. Perhaps people think I am more complicated than I really am.

I'm not really a reader of books. However I would say I am farely up to date with current affairs and world issues.

I generally prefer foreign movies as I think more often than not, they aren't afraid of addressing the not so happy moments that are nevertheless a common experience of being alive. Some movies are:- When Harry Met Sally, As it is in Heaven (I'm an Atheist, so don't get the wrong idea), Pans Labyrinth, The Painted Veil, Gloomy Sunday, The Secret Life of Words, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (the Swedish one), Avatar, The Secret in Their Eyes.

Music: Classical, pop, latin. I have recently taken a like to Cuban style (as classified by pandora) music. I like that Cuban style is often more mellow than the typical Salsa. Buena Vista Social Club.

Love all type of food - chinese, indian, thai, italian, mexican, sushi etc... This is one of my frustrations, people who are not afraid to try something outside their cultural background are pretty rare.

Well ... coffee is pretty important.

I'm a person who likes to solve problems through understanding how things work - which explains my career in bioinformatics. This drive to understand tends to extend outside work. So the recent economic woes that have been stubbornly hanging around have been keeping my attention. I like to think about what I need to change to live a more fulfilling life while allowing for future uncertainties.

Relaxing with a glass of red wine and home made pizza watching an international movie on netflix - just an idea.
