I am musical, peaceful, and silly & giggly.

My Self-Summary

I work retail, sing, sometimes (but not often) dance (always managing to teach someone how to meringue), am generally interested in anthropology, spirituality, reiki, hypnotherapy and massage/bodywork, and recently re-discovered DDR. I seem to be an ENFP or, apparently, an ENFJ.

I've been on here for years mainly due to the quizzes, and enjoy meeting new and interesting (but not completely crazy, please?) people. I've decided I need to take a break from actually dating, so right now, it's restricted to a friendship level.

I understand typos. I don't understand people who RiTe lyk tHiS. Gah.

What I’m doing with my life

I spend too much time at work. Unfortunately, this hasn't changed in months. I find I tend to stay at work as long as it's busy, I'm not completely dead tired (or there's a RedBull to revitalize), and I don't have to run off to chorus rehearsal or have other plans. So I've been working too much. I have to keep reminding myself that it could be worse; at least I have a job, and a good one at that.

I’m really good at

Singing, energy work, and working too much.

The first things people usually notice about me

Either my (singing) voice, my (used to be much longer) hair, or my glasses.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books/Movies: For both books and movies my favorites seem to be sci-fi and fantasy. I also love books on spirituality, though, and "Illusions: the Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah" by Richard Bach, is my favorite book of all time. My favorite movies of all time include Labyrinth and the Princess Bride, and my most recent favorite movie is Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Music: I like a lot of different kinds of music. I have a tendency to switch between WFNX and WXRV the most. I love to sing karaoke, madrigals, medieval songs, pagan songs, rounds, chants... the list could go on forever! I'm in the Merrimack Concert Association's Chorus and also WomenSpiritSong and I directed a small group of women in a Winter Solstice Celebration back in 2004.

Food: I eat too much carbs. I know that. I don't care. I'd rather lose weight by exercising than by cutting anything completely out of my list of options of what to eat. I like sushi, but haven't been very brave with it.

The six things I could never do without

* my cell phone(s) / BlackBerry * friendship * music * my voice * my hands * my aunts
(NOT in that order.)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

how my office would be doing if I had stuck with it.

On a typical Friday night I am

working. My store's usually busy on Friday nights. I'm not sure why people decide that it's a good time to go shopping at my store, but it's one of the busiest times of the week.

Thursdays, however, are altogether a different story. I find myself at Resurrection (http://resurrectionclub.net) every first and third Thursday, and often stay out until about 3 or 4 a.m. (food after club = good). It makes working a long day Friday... interesting.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have at least 3 different translations for when I say "meh."

I have an easier time answering direct questions than coming up with something "private" to put into a box. So ask, and I may answer =)

You should message me if

you want to.

Also, I should mention that it's been my experience that OKCupid kind of understands me (though I'm not entirely sure *how*)... so you should *really* message me if you want to, **and** we have a relatively high match (I kind of consider 80% a minimum, I'm happier with 90 & above).

If you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're", "to" and "too" or often write "of" after the words "should", "could", or "would," I will probably get annoyed by the conversation relatively quickly.

And to answer the "what are you looking for" that apparently this box should be re-named, I'm not entirely sure anymore, but I'm happy to meet people that I get along with -- I've met some really cool people from here, and have expanded my circles of friends from those friends, so I know that good, interesting, relatively sane, intelligent people exist on here. I'd prefer to you to be one if you're going to message me ;-)
