Simple, laid back, hard working, unpretentious, active, and open-minded. I always see the glass as being half full. No matter what life throws at me. And it has, from time to time, thrown some good pitches. Adversity and hardship, I have learned, do an excellent job at forging character and fortifying one's essence. Must be the former Marine in me.
Who I am looking for:
Beautiful in your own understated way, down-to-earth, deliberate, outdoorsy, easy going, smart, secure, open-minded, emotionally consistent, and genuinely kind. You stay in good shape (not in an excessive/slavish way, but in a way that clearly indicates you take pride in your appearance and care for your wellbeing). You are not afraid of a little dirt, sweat, or elbow grease. I am an active person with lots of fun, hands on, mostly outdoors projects. The best partnerships, I have found, are cemented in the process of conceptualizing and then executing a shared project, dream, vision, etc. In a related vein, I would hope you are not the kind of person who gets squeamish the moment you step outside your mental, physical, or emotional zone of comfort. Of course, being well traveled goes a long way towards countering that. As does being deeply connected with real people - from all, not select, walks of life - along the way. Most importantly, you appreciate quality over quantity, recognize that less is often more, engage more than spectate, and love to laugh. For real.
Sincerity, integrity, optimism, and good energy are critical on an all around basis.
With three kids (6.5, 8, and 17), I must say I'm not actively looking to have more kids. However, were I to meet somebody on here that has not had kids, is very eager to have kids, and had otherwise stolen my heart and mind, then I'd of course be open to that.
