My favorite books: are lots and lots and lots. My favorite authors
include Christopher Moore, Anthony Bourdain, Tom Robbins, Homer,
and a bunch of other people who may or may not still be alive.
Also, I'm a pastry chef so I spend a great deal of time perusing
cookbooks for inspiration.
My favorite movies include but are not limited to House of 1000
corpses, Devil's Rejects, Rude Boy, pretty much all of the big
70/80's horror films, Lost in Translation, The Sweetest Thing,
Juno, Garden State, Stranger Than Fiction. Ehh anyway you get the
point...
I don't have a television but when I have access to one it is
usually tuned to something based on food or something educational.
Also, I just discovered Duck Dynasty and it makes me Happy Happy
Happy.
I have a very wide range of musical interests. I grew up listening
to ska and punk but I can always get down with southern rock,
classic country, classical, pretty much anything except super poppy
auto tuned crap. Some of my favorite bands are The Clash (favorite
band of all time!), The Beatles, Mr Bungle, Social Distortion (I
have HUGE voice crushes on Mike Patton and Mike Ness) The
Skatellites, Beck, The Pietasters, Dropkick Murphys, Bob Marley,
Rancid, Operation Ivy, The Robustos, Wolf Mother, Fugazi, Stray
Cats, The White Stripes, Gogol Bordello, Scott H. Biram, System of
a Down, Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, Blair Crimmins, The 101'ers, Dick
Dale, Tubeway Army, The Mr. Move, Cage the Elephant, slow dancing
to Bob Dylan and Ottis Redding, Junior Murvin, Desmond Dekker,
Charlie Mingus (check out "Haitian Fight Song" it will change your
life).. That list should get you started. Ask if you need
more
My life's dream is to judge a
Barbecue competition. I can't think of
a single cuisine that I don't like but I can't handle super spicy
stuff so I ask for the wuss level of spice when I eat Indian or
Thai. Sunday brunch is my favorite meal of the week. As far as I'm
concerned, every day should start out like a Sunday; with good
friends, good foods and a mimosa
