My Self-Summary

I am an art and creative writing student. I work for a local company and a shoe store. Yay; discount shoes! I spend most of my free time watching America's Next Top Model and Pokemon re-runs with my roommates. If I set my mind to doing something, it will be done. I maintain a level of self confidence, and others may find me "intimidating" because of it. I never really got into the whole "outdoors" thing, and I blame that on growing up in Seattle. I love to cook for people, but it seriously bothers me when people eat my cheese without including me in its consumption. Sometimes, when I'm speaking, I'll forget what I'm saying mid-sentence and just make noises. I do speak Russian and am pursuing traveling to Russia to meet my family. Exciting!

What I’m doing with my life

I want to write and draw. What can be done with that you may ask yourself? Well, not much. Maybe I'll be the lucky one who makes it to Pixar or Disney. Or maybe I'll write and illustrate my own comic books someday. In the dark depths of my mind, I dream of being a fashion designer.
I am also studying botany. Whatever I chose to do with my life, I will undoubtedly have a green house on the side.

I’m really good at

making macaroni and cheese, drawing noses, laughing, being fierce, finding beauty in the mundane, riding my bicycle, growing tomatoes, coming up with new ideas and thinking about them, reading, relating to people.

The first things people usually notice about me

People usually notice my hair. It's very blonde. I've also heard about my eyes. They're gray, not blue. Maybe someone has mentioned something about the arch of my foot, but I can't remember.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

My favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, Steven Chbosky, Jonathan Safran Foer, Junot Diaz, Franz Kafka, John Steinbeck(minus the Grapes of Wrath) and Laurie Moore. I don't have a favorite film, per-say, but Quentin Tarantino is hands down my favorite director. I like music of all sorts. My favorite bands are Animal Collective, Rilo Kiley, Broken Social Scene, and Kanye West. I love cultural food. I can make some pretty delicious Russian food. On a more normal level, I could eat sushi every day of my life. And nutella. Delicious
My favorite television shows are: Weeds, Lost, Heroes, Dexter, ANTM, Kenny vs Spenny, Trailer Park Boys, and Robot Chicken.

Mormonism, flu shots, wicker chairs, glass blowing, the dichotomy between good and evil, life on other planets, secret agents, why beer isn't delicious, the contents of cafeteria food, family relationships, solid oak doors, grasshoppers, and sometimes gourmet meals.

On a typical Friday night I am

Working, or hanging out with my friends. Preferably the latter. I like to go walk around downtown or go dancing. Finding fun activities becomes increasingly difficult.

I don't have pinky toe nails, and I think it's terrible luck to put on your right shoe before the left.
