My Self-Summary
I'm a manageable mess. I wear my heart on my sleeve and it's not
easy, but I'm trying to apologize less. Simple things make me
happy. Music is a big part of my life. My family, especially my
three younger sisters, mean the world to me. I love comfort food
and fall weather and exploring new places. I wanna see the whole
world. Everywhere.
What I’m doing with my life
I have my degree in Communication with a minor in Electronic Media
and Film from Eastern Michigan University. Currently, I'm living in
Chicago and waiting tables. I write and record songs in my spare
time and play shows in the city occasionally. Though music is my
first love, it's just a nice form of self expression, and not a
career path. I would like to make a record though, just for my own
sanity. Hopefully soon.
I’m really good at
Dancing, eating, posing for photographs, reading, traveling, and
roughing it. I have incredible intuition. It rarely steers me
wrong.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Right now, I'm reading Fear of Flying by Erica Jong.
Movies, anything by Almodovar (my favorite is All About My Mother), The 400 Blows, Lolita, Roman Holiday.
Music is my favorite thing in the world. Joni Mitchell, Broken Social Scene, Braid, Silver Jews, Why?, The Mountain Goats, Jawbreaker, lots more. The right song can really make everything ok.
When it comes to food, if I'm not eating, then I'm thinking about eating. In a city like Chicago, it's hard not to indulge in just about everything.
