A rose by any other name... but no picture?
Nov 24, 2008
Interesting experiment. I first posted a casual photo snapped by a
friend of mine; nobody wrote. Well, hardly anyone wrote. The guy in
a federal correctional facility and the guy in the Middle East
don't count.
I later added a professionally done photo, with my hair and make up done to perfection and, yes, I got messages from guys on this site. Non-incarcerated guys. Guys whose primary language English. Guys who have jobs. Some nice guys.
But I got busy and decided I didn't have much time to devote to this site and deleted my photos. Now, for some reason, I can't load them again. This site doesn't seem to want me to have a photo.
It's probably just as well....

It's been interesting but there's only so much time in a week so I
won't be coming by much anymore. Feel free to email me at

Similar users
Sep 18, 2008
My new pet peeve: OKCupid pointing out "similar users" when you
look at someone's profile and, no, they're 30 years younger than
the one you were just looking at!
You can't always tell from the photo either. So then this young stud muffin sees that I was eyeballing his profile and probably thinks I'm a cougar... or worse! Noooo! Oh, well, these people will never meet me in person so I guess I shouldn't care....

Weird kink?
Sep 16, 2008
A young man writes in his journal that he has "a weird kink that
has probably never come up in any of your prior relationships, and
that you've likely never considered." Intrigued, I read on and am
disappointed to see it's not really that weird and not much of a
kink. I've seen the subject openly discussed on yahoogroups that
weren't even that kinky... It's all a matter of perspective, I
guess. He's in his 20's, I'm 50. One person's kink is another
person's "vanilla" nowadays. What's the definition of "weird kink"
anyway?
Last movie you saw?
Sep 15, 2008
What's the last movie you saw? Did you see it at home or in a
theater? Alone or with someone?
These kinds of things say something about us!! For the record, I saw RIGHTEOUS KILL with Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro yesterday (in the theaters) with a couple of friends. I like movies like that. I've been watching cop movies since I was a kid. Dad loved them. He would have loved this one. Of course, I'd figured out who the serial killer was right away. It ticked me off a little when one of my companions leaned over, early in the movie and said who she thought it was. Not so much that she was whispering during the movie but that she was dead wrong. If you're going to play the "Figure out the serial killer before the rest of the audience" game then you need to be good at it. I corrected her. The other person in our group wasn't sure who it was. In time, it became clear that was right and she was wrong. Well, duh!!! Sorry, that's one of my faults, now I'm kind of gloating.

How much do you spend per year on shoes?
Sep 6, 2008
Oh, dear, I just saw that was a very important question to
TrafficGuy. Come on, now, don't assume if we spend a lot on shoes
that we're channeling Imelda Marcos! Some of us have problems with
our joints and, consequently, have to wear special shoes and
"special" don't come cheap! If some woman is spending $1,000 a
years for the finest high heels that's different but some of us
spend money because we have to use special shoes so our knees don't
ache. Ah, it sucks getting old.
I'm going back to Yahoo Answers
Sep 4, 2008
Ever tried Yahoo Answers? It's a good way to kill time if you're
not addicted to television. You can find the site if you go to
http://answers.yahoo.com and, if you're of at least moderate
intelligence, you'll figure it out. People ask questions, you write
answers; you may or may not be chosen as "best answer" but it's a
better timewaster than the tests on this site and you'll meet just
as many people just not get to see their photos.
Pepsi vs. Coke
Sep 1, 2008
I just saw a post by a gentleman in Albuquerque who asked "If a
restaurant can serve 25 to 30 different kinds of beer, why can't
they offer both Pepsi and Coke?"
Good question. However, I am more troubled by the fact nobody has a decent lemonade or limeade! Especially in summer! Come on, folks, it's not that hard to make! You squeeze the lemon (or lime) until the juice comes out, mix with water and sugar. Voila! You have lemonade (or limeade).
I sympathize with the guy who wanted Coke but was in a restaurant that only offered Pepsi. I actually like BOTTLED Coca Cola from Mexico, the Coke in glass bottles, better than the stuff in the plastic bottles or aluminum cans we get here in the USA. When I go across the border to Mexico, I take 4 or 5 cases of empties and come back with Coca Cola.
Maybe some of us care too much about our beverages? No. It's not like I throw a hissy fit if they don't have my favorites on the menu.
But why can they offer 30 different types of beer but not both Pepsi and Coke?
