My self-summary
I don't often find that people are accurate narrators of themselves, however I am confident in saying that I have a nomadic spirit and a good story can make me goose pimply to my bones (examples of this are Thomas Mann's Death in Venice and Shirley Jackson's short story The Lottery - which Nabokov cited as one of the two greatest short stories of the 20th century, and the other of course was one of his, so... - and this awesome story about Marcus Aurelius that is best to tell over a drink. Also I'm a sucker for a good urban legend).

I've done a fair amount of traveling. My top five visited cities in no particular order: Istanbul, Kyoto, Budapest, Rome, Buenos Aires. I'm from San Diego, and it shows in little ways (my penchant for high fives and calling people 'dude'). Moved to Los Angeles for college and lit out as soon as that diploma was in my hand, basically (I don't get down with the nor cal disdain for so cal though - LA has some great spots. Also, it's totally a one-sided 'rivalry' so it can't even be called a rivalry, and I try not to get down with one-sided disdain... Mutual disdain is another story).

I lived in Italy for two years, and, yes, of course I miss it.

Recently moved to SF from the east bay, and I am having a blast exploring this city.

I would eat a lox bagel for breakfast everyday if I could. OK, maybe not, but, mmmmm.
The six things I could never do without
My lungs, my heart, my brain, how important are kidneys? because I may or may not have woken up in a bathtub filled with ice, other miscellaneous vital organs, and chapstick.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Big trips I want to take, the human experience, the reasons for things, vast unknowns, how in the world I got so lucky, the whereabouts of Carmen SanDiego.
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing something I enjoy and I enjoy many activities so, really, the possibilities are many.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
