Recently, I've taken an interest in learning languages. I'd learnt Japanese for 5 semesters back in my uni days and fortunately did quite well but had lost touch due to lack of usage. I spent 1 year during my first year of uni to learn Signing Exact English (SEE II) out of curiosity and for the fun of it. Yes, it's a sign language deaf community here is taught. I finished the Basic I to III but didn't continue because of uni study.
I took on a basic conversation course for German and French each, both this year, although I'd wanted to learn Thai 2 years ago and always regretted not able to understand Malay. My German teacher was awesome! He made me interested in continuing to learn German but unfortunately he wasn't able to form a class to let me continue with him. But I'll go Goethe Institut to check out the courses as per his advice. My French teacher, made me confused and decided to give it up for good.
I've been fortunate to make some overseas friends to let me bunk in when I was in Europe (free accomodation rocks!) and even more fortunate to have a nice boss who allowed me to take long leave for my trips this year. Downside is, I'm left with 3 days of leave till end of the year.
Yes, I'd always been lucky, except maybe in love. I do get many messages, both flattering and abusive. I don't reply to everyone, to save us the trouble of rejecting nicely and being rejected nicely. Thank you for reading so far (it's supposed to be an essay isn't it?)
I prefer to take the initiative in chatting people up online. I used to think very hard on what to type for the first message but now I realised whether someone reply you or not doesn't depend on what you say. So now I'm lazy and only goes with hey. If you're interested in knowing me, you'll reply, otherwise, we're cool. Works the same on me too, if you're wondering.
I don't go to gym but I jog, sometimes, and love to swim (in swimming pool). I'm probably the worst company to go swimming with because I'll swim non-stop for at least 30laps, which means ignoring you for at least 45min.
I'm lucky to be born in Singapore and wish I'll be lucky enough to find a job overseas for 2 or 3 years working experience.
