Just your average talkative, curious, adventurous type, but I also
appreciate the value of relaxing. I've always believed in
equilbrium, and finding balance in life. There's a Buddhist concept
that I really agree with, where your age and experiences are
important but not defining. You still have various aspects to your
personality..... your child self, your elderly wise self, your
innocent self, your warrior self. You can be 18 and appreciate some
profound wisdom; you can be 70 and still laugh at Woody Woodpecker.
That's how I look at things, I guess. I know this makes no sense,
but I had to fill the space in.
What I’m doing with my life
Well, I work at a printing company doing both old-school offset and
I also write fiction and poetry, get published occasionally in
small lit journals. And I wrote a screenplay that was purchased and
(hopefully) one day be made.....it's sort of a dour black comedy
about various blind dates occuring during the course of a
I’m really good at
I'm a very attentive listener.
I like conjuring and interjecting good moods. It's corny, but I
like seeing people happy.
I've written 2 really bad novels, so now I'm focusing on the
novella form, which, of course, is a almost totally unsaleable
I can dislocate my thumbs.
I can be pretty funny sometimes (other times I try and fail
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes (bluish-greenish) get lots of attention.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have always been a avid reader, everything from classic lit to
modern poetry to history. I especially dig autobiographical
Some of my movie faves are BLADE RUNNER, BEFORE SUNRISE, LAST
PICTURE SHOW, the original STAR WARS films, DAWN OF THE DEAD,
APOCALYPSE NOW, cheesy Spaghetti Westerns, lame 80's teen comedies,
weirdo art films from Alexjandro Jodorowsky and Werner
As for music.....I "came of age" in the 1990's, so to speak,
graduating from HS in 1992. The music of that decade will always
resonate with me; the FM soundtrack to many young adventures and
Some other random faves.....Daft Punk, The Cure, Bob Dylan, The
Deftones, Bauhaus, Echo And The Bunnymen, The Rolling Stones, Amos
Lee, Ann DiFranco, M83, PJ Harvey, Motown, Johnny Cash, The
Beatles, Black Flag, St Vincient, Cat Power.....
The six things I could never do without
Family, friends, books, art, movies, and coffee.
And my e-cigarette! I just quit smoking after 25 years of
pack-a-day Salems. I now have a Joyetech e-cigarette and love it.
So both smokers and non-smokers are cool with me.....I'm just a
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything and nothing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either relaxing at home and writing, or watching old movies, or
going out with friends for a nice dinner and a few drinks
afterwards, or checking out live music, or just having a
conversation with someone interesting. I'm easy to please, and
don't need to run around manically to have a good time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'll tell you when we get acquainted.
You should message me if
If you think we have something to talk about? Or think I'm cute?
