My Self-Summary

I'm a pretty quiet and laid back guy. I enjoy being around friends doing our best to make sure things never get serious. I'm a huge fan of Quizzo and its about the only event I get competitive at. I never drink during Quizzo! It dulls my brain. I travel as much as my bank account will let me and feel completely at ease alone in a country who's language I don't speak as long as I have some music with me. I very much enjoy nature. I camp a few times a year and love to be out on the river or ocean in my kayak. But I'm also seriously into showers. I need to be clean and shower while camping in the back country. Greasy hair is no good. I can't function, even if I look silly washing my hair 40 miles from civilization.

What I’m doing with my life

I work in the hospitality industry and have been using it to pay for college. I've been working full time and going to school part time for several years, but have managed to get a few degrees done. I'm working hard now to make things easier later. I'm looking forward to the days I see my friends more.

I’m really good at

Spending hours on wikipedia reading about muppets and cartoon characters. Its evil how each page links me to another page I want to read. Its a black hole I can get sucked into. My last good wiki train was from cooking instruments, to beakers, to Beaker from the muppets, to the Swedish Chef, to the Swedish Chef cereal Croonchy Stars and then to the commercial for the cereal on youtube. That was a good night!

I have no idea. I've been told I have nice teeth. And people always say I look like some actor or another. I've never asked someone "Okay, what did you just notice about me"

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I get bored easy, so I always like to try new foods.

Movies: Grosse Point Blank, Memento, Snatch, Near Dark, Dog Soldiers, True Romance, Millers Crossing, LA Confidential...a whole slew of movies I suppose. Horror, film noir, comedy, you name it!

Books: Anything by John Irving, Lord of the Flies, Animal Farm, anything by Edward Bunker, Neil Gaiman, Irvine Welsh or Christopher Moore.

Music: Tom Waits, Joe Strummer, $wingin' Utter$, Colin Hay, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else.

Traveling. I'm always looking at websites for good deals on tickets and good places to go. Currently I'd like to go somewhere completely unlike anywhere I've been before. The rain forests of South America or the jungles of India are 2 of my big dreams now. Also Mongolian yurt living! I'm crazy craving a vacation on horse or camel back. Some day I want to own a camel...one hump, not two.

How can I donate my body to science with the stipulation they have to leave my pants on. Seriously, I don't know what those freaky scientists do in their time off!

If the Earth suddenly stopped spinning we'd fly off it at an unbelievable speed. Its part of my fear of falling, but this way I'd be falling up.

On a typical Friday night I am

Working a lot. My hours aren't the best and I work a lot of nights and weekends. That's the hospitality world for you. I hope to change to a better schedule in the near future.
