My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Wow.. a lot of pressure. The first words written that you could be reading and saying either "Yikes" or "Yes!".

So - what to say? I am a guy that enjoys the company of others, can have an intelligent discussion but also am able to just sit back, be quiet and enjoy the moment.

Intelligence is a turn-on but so is personality.

Did I mention intelligence? VERY important. If you feel that the Earth is bigger than the Sun - ummmm no. If you think that a periodic table is where they load birth control packets on - move along. If you are unable to handle writing a sentence with pen and paper or on a full-sized keyboard without using "text talk" then stop yourself from contacting me.

I'm not looking for a MENSA member (and if you don't know what MENSA is, that's a disqualification. At least go Google it) to be with, but at least be able to carry a decent conversation and have some wits.

Oh yeah - If you are a Republican that won't listen to the opinion of others, are a "card carrying member of the Tea Party", have given money to Americans For Prosperity or think that the rights of others don't matter - Stop Reading This Now and move on. Seriously.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
In the last year I've gone through a lot of changes. Ended a marriage, moved to Chicagoland from MN, stopped eating fast-food and stopped drinking soda. I've started to discover who I am really and how to live my life using what I have learned over the years and learning what's needed to fill in the cracks.

I've had my own website design business for 11 years and have been designing sites since 1994 (Yes, there was a WWW back then.) Moving to a new area means building new relationships with other business owners and networking with others to get sales going. It's been tough, but everyday things get stronger.

Just a note: I'm not skinny. I've got meat on my bones and am considered a BHM (Big Handsome Male, the male equivalent of a BBW). If you're looking for someone chiseled out of stone and has 6-pack abs, I'm not the guy for you.

If you like a sensitive, sensual man that's a teddy bear - then I'm your guy!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
listening, holding my own in a discussion, carrying an intelligent conversation, designing websites, being a computer geek, playing trivia.

I've been told my brown eyes.

TV: I cut the cable back in July. I went through withdrawl at first until I discovered what I already have in my collection or just re-discover old stuff via Amazon Instant. House of Cards (US) has some of the best writing today and Orange Is the New Black is fantastic (then again, I loved Weeds and it was the only reason I had Showtime). My one "must watch now" show that I have is Hell's Kitchen and I watch it with my roommates (who didn't cut the cord when I moved in with them). Otherwise, I get my news from a delayed broadcast of NBC Nightly News or watch CNN International or Sky News if I need to have something just "on".

Books: Clancy novels, non-fiction, alternate reality sci-fi

Movies: I've been converting my DVD and Blu-Ray collection over to digital so I can watch them easily on my Roku. Titles I've recently watched: The Sting, Watchmen, Entrapment, There Will Be Blood, Her, The Wolf of Wall Street, 12 Years A Slave, American Hustle, The Bourne Identity and Frozen. I love anything that Kevin Smith has done and can fully enjoy a foreign film (Bollywood is great.. as long as there's subtitles). I'm a sucker for Independent Cinema and think that while places like Sundance Theatres and Landmark are nice because they've brought Indie film to the masses, there's something still commercial about them.

Music: I am good with almost anything but gangsta rap and speed metal. If you are someone that has to see band names or genres: U2, Rush, Boston, Journey, The Church, New Order, Erasure, UB40, Bob Marley, Yes, Pink Floyd, The Call, The Cure....

Those are some of the bands I listen to. I've got over 4,000 albums (thank god for MP3 and Mp4 files or else my cassette collection would kill me to drive it around ;) ). I enjoy classical, movie scores, jazz, Classic Alternative, Alternative, Blues, oldies as well as Top 40 and Classic Rock.

Food: Anything that's not spicy! Love Japanese cuisine. Am willing to try anything once. I'm craving Indian these days (there's not a restaurant in Kenosha... and I don't know of any good ones in the area). Hawaiian food is comfort food but then again so is home cooking. Mexican is good and so is Seafood.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The internet (I design websites for a living so without the net I don't have a job)

A good book or movie

Cuddling

Good conversation
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends, watching a old show or movie (when's the last time you watched Riptide?) or spending time with my daughter when she's visiting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Hmmm... I could say something here and give it away but since I want to meet others, maybe you should ask me in a message?

You like guys that are caring, sensitive, intelligent but not "Big Bang Theory" intelligent.

A message is great because you get to ask me a question that's not on here. We're not all pegs that can go into holes that are put here by OKCupid.
