I've lived in Chicago my entire life. I enjoy movies, experiencing new restaurants, comedy clubs and outdoor festivals. I can be a bit reserved until I get to know someone, then I like joking around and can be pretty talkative. I have gotten back into golfing and really enjoy running. I enjoy working out (ok, most of the time), run 4 or 5 times a week. I'm a father of two young girls, so whomever I become involved with should know I have custody of them half the time. This affects when I can go out, as they are my priority. So if you have children, I'll completely understand your priorities. And if you don't, I hope you can understand how important my kids are to me. I do make time for friends and can for someone I'm dating. When I go on vacation, I typically like warmer climates (took my kids to Disney and Sea World this past spring). I also enjoy spring (my arm can be twisted to go in the winter) skiing. I like to be on the go when on vacation, but will make an effort to relax by the pool or on the beach just to recharge. I mention that I sometimes smoke, it because I occasionally do smoke a cigar while playing golf otherwise I don't. Full disclosure lol

Working (and these days that is wonderful), taking care of my daughters and enjoying life. Getting into running, I'm working on increasing my distance so I can run a 10K this year. I'm pretty close, ran 5+ miles a couple times last week. I know for some of you, that's nothing but I'm working at it.

Being a good dad and friend. Being a sounding board for my friends, I can just listen or offer my opinion when asked. Oh also, I'm pretty good about figuring out the ending of a movie in about 10 minutes, not always but surprisingly pretty often.

I don't know what to put here. I was recently told that I'm always smiling, I don't know about that but I do smile quite a bit. I like joking around, its great to laugh.

I'll admit I'm not much of a reader, other than news or articles on the web. I recently read 'Marley and Me' mainly because I loved the movie and the dog reminded me of my dog that passed away. Movies well I like all kinds of movies, seen quite a few the past year. Unfortunately by myself, oh boo hoo for me. Typically I like adventure, sci fi, comedies, war movies, romantic comedies basically all kinds. Music, my taste is generally classic rock (the list is too long), but I also like the more current stuff. My kids got me to listen to Taylor Swift, she is pretty good. I really like Italian, Greek, assorted Asian cuisines (don't like sushi, which is funny I'm told because I'm Japanese), Persian (Iranian), Mexican, Barbeque, Steak, Southwestern, etc.

My family, especially my kids. Good friends. Italian food. Working out, especially running. Golf. Hmmm I'll have to think of the last one. Oh how could I forget, Diet Coke. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I wouldn't hold that against you lol.

My kids and what I can cook for them that they will eat. You think I'm kidding, ha its true.

Going out with friends, hanging out at a local watering hole or at their home. Or watching some kids show with my two daughters. I probably have seen every Hannah Montana or Wizards of Waverly Place show at least 5 times, I can't wait for them to like something different. Then again, I would have to endure repeats of that show also. Just kidding, its nice just relaxing with my daughters. I'll also play board games with them checkers or chess or life.

If you are looking for a friend first with the possibility of more. I'm definitely looking for a woman that is independent and has her own interests. One who is looking for someone to be part of her life, but is also content doing her own thing. I hope you know what I'm saying. I definitely would like someone who is energetic and enjoys going out, although relaxing at home is needed occasionally just to recharge the batteries.
