My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm from a suburb of Chicago that even most Chicagoans have never heard of, so for the sake of simplicity, I'm from Chicago.

I'm a French major here at UW-Madison hopeful that I'll actually be able to find a job with such a degree. Otherwise... Wendy's, here I come!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently taking summer classes to finish my degree in French. I'm hoping to go to pedagogical school to get my teaching credentials, but I'm looking into teaching abroad in either France or South Korea to get a little experience and maybe earn some money.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Languages and accents. Mostly, I just learn words and phrases from friends and I try to get the pronunciation down (with relative ease, from what I've been told).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm pretty shy the first time I talk to someone, but once I get to know you, I'm much more personable.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

90% of what I read is French lit for classes.
Baudelaire, Molière, Maupassant and others.

I really enjoy foreign movies (bonus points if they're horribly dubbed).
I honestly can't stand horror movies. Don't get me wrong, it's not the gore that gets me, but when shit jumps out at me, I'm out.

I love crime dramas like Law and Order: SVU, Bones, Criminal Minds, BBC's Sherlock, Elementary, etc.
Food Network is definitely a guilty pleasure: Sandra Lee is such a drunk, Sweet Genius is hilarious and Ina Garten is pretentious but has delicious recipes.

I don't have a specific genre, and I'm always open to suggestions.

Pretty much anything as long as there's no cilantro.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
(In no particular order)
1. The French language
2. Friends
3. A good white wine
4. My glasses/contacts
5. My computer
6. People who don't hashtag everything
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how some words don't sound like words if you say them enough times.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends or spending a night-in cooking and watching a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once tried "parcour" in Paris while severely drunk and somehow ended up on the ground with one friend putting my watch back on, and the other laughing so hard she fell over.
