My self-summary
I like education.
and politics.
and music.
and ideas.

I'm a high school math teacher, and my job requires me to have a lot of empathy and patience. This does not just disappear the minute I leave the classroom.

I have some idealist tendencies, but my quantitative background runs a pragmatic streak through me at all times. I love talking about politics and society and 'the macro,' but I can also laugh at reality TV. I'd love to meet more nice people in LA.

I've recently started riding a bike/doing active things more often, so I'm up for that as well.
What I’m doing with my life
I've got my Master's in Ed/credential and I'm in my 2nd year of teaching. Other than that, I'm always keeping up on current events and culture (as much as possible), as well as cooking and so on. I also like playing guitar and driving with the windows down in pretty scenery.

In the next couple of years I want to learn more about educational administration and applied statistics.
I’m really good at
being interested in things.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
One time in 2nd grade I bought a cup-o-noodles in the lunch line because it was the only thing I could afford. I didn't have hot water, so I just sat on the edge of the playground, munched on the dry food, and cried.
