My self-summary
People often attempt to lump me into some sort of social stereotype, which generally doesn't work. I'm the only person I know who's taken the official American Association of Psychology personality test and come up "inconclusive", to give you some idea.

I am originally from Atlanta, GA, went to college in Vancouver, BC, and moved to LA to work, almost 5 years ago. However, I still don't really know how long I'd like to stay. It's a love/hate relationship, this Los Angeles and me. We quarrel like the couple in a bad romantic comedy, thus, usually end up spooning after people yell and things have been thrown. I love to travel and plan to live in several more cities before choosing one.

I am a union art department girl here (props and set dressing mostly), so there are only so many cities which could offer accommodation therein. I love what I do and am very gratified at the end of a long work day. On the hobby side, I've been a cellist for the last 14+ years. I've been in local indie bands here and there, but am currently taking a little break to concentrate on harmony vocals, which I fell in love with over the last few years. I also just began my first piano lessons ever. I've ALWAYS wanted to learn and I'm so happy to have found a great teacher! It helps that I finally have my own upright too.

I am facetious, dynamic, and quick-witted

I’m really good at
Cello. Remembering names. Grammar. The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. Tying my shoes. Yoga (I've improved over the years, but still can't master a Pincha Mayurasana, aka forearm stand. One day, it will happen and I will celebrate.)

The first things people usually notice about me
"Has anyone ever told you you look like Claire Danes?"
Yes. Yes they have. Thanks for that. Again.

It seems people like my stems too.

This should give you an idea of my taste; be that important to you or not.

The six things I could never do without
I'm taking creative license to list 10 things, since this is a silly question to begin with, and 10 is such a nice round number:

My dog, Bartley. (Best doggie of all time!)
Good music.
Winter knee high socks.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
A manual transmission.
Travel.
Sex.
Sunglasses.
My mac.
Cereal!

I spend a lot of time thinking about
When I will actually cross the threshold of adolescence to adulthood. I hope this never fully happens; I like fun. I don't like mortgages.

When will I score a nice cushy annual 9mo. episodic? That would be awesome. Right now, I'm just working up the rungs.

I'll also admit that I spend a fair amount of time thinking about sex.

On a typical Friday night I am
I am a weeknight partier by nature. I frequent local music venues, comedy clubs, and dive bars when work doesn't interfere. Most of the time, these places are just too crowded or obnoxious on Friday and Saturday nights. I always enjoy a quiet night at home or some other fun type outing as well. I consider myself reasonably adventurous....

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a sucker for nerdy glasses and beards, and I have a thing for brunettes. I can't whistle, which makes it very hard to sing along to Andrew Bird. I treat my dog a little like he's my son (I don't dress him up and stuff though, for the record.) I love to sing and dance (I'm sure my neighbors have heard me having solo karaoke parties. Ha.).

I can be long-winded at times. Refer to above profile.
