Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I dwell in my house in Augusta, with my 3 cats - they are
interesting characters who keep me amused to no end when I actually
have time at home to spend with them. I'm a day-glo Anglo of
WASP-ish ancestry with a big-time desire to visit Europe in general
and Ireland in particular. I love technical gizmos, art, theater,
movies, music and I've been harboring a huge desire to be
outdoorsy. I already love hiking and camping and now a mountain
bike and kayak are on my wish-list of toys for this Spring. Wanting
to take journeys of body, mind, and spirit. Looking to live life to
I am thoughtful, geeky, and introspective
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently working as a residential specialist in a group home for
folks with mental illness (some days it's hard to tell staff from
clients), but I've gone back to college to pursue a degree in
nursing - sticking people with needles for fun and profit, hooray!
I love being a student again, I love learning new things ansd
meeting new people. I'd like to explore my creative side more, it's
been neglected and lately I'm feeling...restless. Love spending
time with friends and family whenever possible, love working out at
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Breathing. Oh, and eating, most of the time I can manage it without
choking. I sometimes fall down in creative and often humorous ways.
I've been told I'm a good listener, somewhat artistic in nature and
a bit on the brainy side. When I feel the urge, I can also muster a
flair for writing. I used to be a decent actor, but I have to bang
the rust off my thespian skills, they've been left out in the rain
for quite awhile.
The first things people usually notice about me

My tattoos, when I'm wearing clothing that exposes them.

I love Terry Pratchett, Dean Koontz is great for a thrill,
historical fiction or non-fiction is great, oh other things as
well. Movies? I love big-budget flicks that are well done and/or
intelligent, some schlocky fun stuff, classic movies like "To Kill
a Mockingbird", "His Girl Friday", some horror - it's quite an
eclectic pastiche. Music is likewise varied, classic rock, a lot of
eighties music, some of the grungier or more industrial material
from the 90's. I have an unhealthy fetish for dance and pop (please
forgive me!) More details available upon request.
As for food, I have to watch carbs, but beyond that I am very food
friendly, having met very few foods that I didn't have at least a
one-night stand with, if not a full fledged love affair. I love
Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Thai, and my favorite of favorites is
seafood in all it's varied and wondrous forms - mmm!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Air, food, shelter, friends, family, music.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, the universe, and everything. Or if I remembered to buy
laundry detergent with this week's groceries.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, though I'm trying to con...er, that is to say, conVINCE my
boss to give me an occasional weekend off, so that perhaps I can
have a semblance of an ordinary social life once again.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My most disgusting experience: I was once at a friend's apartment
and there were several soda cans on the coffee table. I picked up
the one I THOUGHT was mine and took a large gulp out of what was,
in actuality, a butt can full of ash and discarded cigarette
butts...which were now floating in my mouth, soon to be floating in
my friend's toilet. And people wonder why I dislike smoking; I'm
still in therapy over this incident...

You are a bit geeky,funny, fun-loving, creative, out-of-the-norm,
or bored. Sensitivity and thoughtfulness are a plus. Please don't
bother if you're just looking to make a booty call, but it might be
interesting if you are a pirate looking for booty! (Love Johnny
Depp, and Orlando Bloom ain't bad, either...!)
