My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've lived in DC for about two years now, and I'm enjoying it so far. I could do without some of the pretentious people that live here, but oh well, I did pick DC after all.

I'm a huge fan of all the touristy stuff in the district; museums, parks, things like that. I can often be found in the portrait gallery on my days off; headphones on, just zoning out to the art.

E Street Cinema and I are quite fond of one another. One of my favorite activities is seeing a great film with a small bag of popcorn, a DC Brau, and a smile across my face. I don't discriminate though, for I love seeing a good blockbuster movie at the big cinemas too. They're just missing the whole decent bag of popcorn and DC Brau mix.

Love, LOVE, going to shows. Dc9, the 9:30 Club, and the Black Cat are a few of my favorite places.
I spend quite a bit of time at Wonderland Ballroom as well.

I play a mean game of skeeball and there's a chance that dating me will involve skeeball at some point. Games in general. (Ps: I suck at skeeball. I'm totally lying with the mean game business.)

Playing goalkeeper for several soccer teams in District Sports.
It gives me an excuse to wear goalkeeper gloves, and jerseys, in outlandish colors.

I also have to wear a helmet now when playing. Nasty head injury, and now I'm that guy with a helmet. As if I didn't already look goofy enough.

I used to race bikes back home and I technically want to still do that here, but I've been lazy. I ride when I can; training, sometimes commuting by bike when it's not 1000 degrees outside. I was pretty darn serious about it back home, and spent loads of my free time riding and logging miles.

One of my favorite sports is professional bike racing. Yes, I know, you find that odd.

I'm also a huge hockey fan. And no, I will not root for the Capitals. I've adopted all the other DC teams, but not the Caps. I hate them. Tampa Bay fan, through and through. Playoff hockey is driving me bonkers!

I bought a season ticket to DcUnited games. So, yeah, I go often.

I've played in various indie rock bands back home, and spent a lot of my twenties, and thirties, touring. It would be nice to meet some people to play music with here. Kind of a tall order I suppose. Too many lawyers and not enough musicians.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Step one: move to a new city and have that city beat you up some, yet you still love it.
Step two: finally do something that makes you happy....
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being the coolest person you have ever met.

"I want to hurry home to you, put on a slow, dumb show for you. Crack you up." Cool people don't quote The National lyrics.

Can't, stop, watching, Game Of Thrones....UPDATE: fuck Game of Thrones after this last episode. I still plan on hate-watching next season though.

I'm one season behind on How I Met Your Mother. Don't make fun, it's actually an enjoyable show.

The New Girl. I resisted on this one but now I'm hooked.
Homeland, but I think it's getting slightly silly.
The Walking Dead

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My poor, underused bikes.
It's sad, but I love my phone.
Playing soccer. I've become quite attached to DC league play.
My family.
I have a few friends here that I think are pretty cool.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, the universe and everything.

Also, why do I exactly bother with online dating? Humans have way too many choices at their fingertips, and no attention span to spend with one person. There's always someone else one message away.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Well, it turns out that the Black Cat no longer has a Dr. Who Happy Hour. Which kinda stinks, since I have Friday nights off now. I guess I'll have to find something else to do on Friday nights. Any suggestions?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I shave my legs. It goes with the whole racing the bike thing. I've found that a lot of girls seem to frown on this aspect of me.
But, since it seems that half of the women on here are listed as "bi",
that shouldn't be a problem, right? Hello? Is anyone still reading this?
UPDATE: I no longer race bikes since my move to DC. Yet, I still shave my legs, thus I'm just a weirdo...

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You like to do that sort of thing. Or, you want to get to know me and all that stuff that you, I assume, signed up for this whole Okcupid for.

You want someone to get brunch with; go to new restaurants, and some of our favorites; day trips outside of dc; weekends away to New York or somewhere else; hitting bars; after hours museum events, and the list goes on. You know, a partner in all things fun and interesting.
