My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Inventor, explorer, artist, and dabbler in foody things

First off, I'm a bit of a Geek of all trades, I'm interested in just about all subjects, Ive traveled some, but love to come back home to the high desert. I think in the next year or so, I will finally make it out to the British Isles and possibly take a jaunt down to NZ to see a friend.

Work keeps me pretty busy, Its a great company! Aside from some on-call obligations I try not to let it rule or dominate my life.(sadly im now wearing so many hats there, i do sometimes fail at it not dominating my life) Ive got some of the most wonderful and supportive friends(I know because they were really there when I most needed them)!

I'm pretty happy exploring this town in both now and historically and taking pictures(And diving deep into the history in books and online, going to lectures, and talks, and interviewing first sources).

I also very much enjoy what little family time I can get(time and family members are limited). And hanging out with friends.

I'm big on celebrating obscure holidays, especially ones that involve fireworks. (yep im the guy who's usually setting up the fireworks display for newyears, instead of getting my snogging on. Good thing I like fireworks, although I also do like a good kisser! Fireworks rarely disappoint though ;-P )
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
for the last 4 years, I have been working hard on fostering and building am emerging, teaching. learning, collaborating, making, inventing, space here in Albuquerque, Friends an and I have built and im anxious to see what comes from it.

I've been getting more and more back into(obsessed) photography, and that has lead me back to another love, exploring! Exploring is not merely going to the remote wilderness places(while I do so like doing that too!) It can be as simple as taking a right turn where you usually turn left and find a nice mural. Or an old abandoned building, and a fragment of history to trace.

Sometimes the above exploring is called "Urban Exploring" Urbex Abandoned places. Although I do try to keep it pretty safe/low impact/mostly legal(take only photos, leave only footprints), Call it whatever you want, I'm not pretentious enough to believe I'm discovering something never ever seen before, but i do feel like sometimes these places need to be remembered!

Ive also made steampunk clockpunk jewelry, I think some of it has been turning out quite well.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Trivia, computers, troubleshooting things, fixing things, caring about friends, puns, helping people smile and laugh and relax. I sometimes think I care too much, (but really doesn't the world need that these days?) And Getting along with cats. I'm an amateur photographer (dunno how good I am at it, I did just have my own photo show, and it went really well!) feel free to look at my same named profile on flickr(i hope to soon have more of the Quelab camera photos moved out of my flickr so it will be more of my artwork, and less random projects of others)

I'm not a half bad cook either, although if its just for myself I sometimes cheat and go the mostly pre-prepared route. I'm a bit of a foodie, and love trying new things but I also like simple comfort foods. (I love to hunt down new and unique places. and try them out.)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well its probably the beard. not a huge fluffy or scraggly brush of a beard, not even technically a beard, its what is often called "Friendly Mutton Chops". Most people say it suits me.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My camera, Information sources (books, mags, maps, Internet, smartphone, you...), creativity, wonder, [caffeine], and my thoughts.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How things work, how society should work, how to build/make/fix things. Science, Geekery, History, and Wow that would probably make a good camera shot! until I get distracted by a bright sparkling object, or explain how nearly all inventions in the modern world are tied to lamp-black
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Humm, well currently on my schedule Friday is my Thursday. so im often interested in something rather low key, or just realxing at home. Although I keep kinda busy so its just as likely i have pushed something into that timeslot.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have extremely warm hands.

You can find beauty in this things like this (even if its just seeing them not exploring them)
ClickyClicky or this one

I'm a pretty good local resource, my urbex exploring photography and social networks bring me in contact with lots of local lore. Feel free to hit me up sometime if you are looking for something, and id be happy to help and make your acquaintance.

You like someone to share stories with over coffee or tea. (or beer)

I'm not like that last jerkwad, numbskull, douchbag, asshat that you last dealt with. (if you have not had one in your past then I totally commend you! And at the same time wonder where you are from?)

I hate to be one of those people, that are elitist about intelligence, but I feel its only fair to say I want to meet someone whom by comparison makes me feel a little dumb from time to time.

Ive tried polly before, and its really not my thing, but I really don't want to exclude any chance meeting interesting people, so just keep it in mind that if you are polly, I'm not too likely to want to go beyond friends.

Btw, killbox, was the name of the "junk mail" account I setup years ago, roundfile, trashbox, devnul, and waste bin were all taken. just so you know its much more innocent than it sounds!
