My Self-Summary
I'm a musician and a former teacher. I live in Pennsylvania after a
year working full-time in Maryland.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a full-time customer service representative for a local
hardware company. I play piano and trumpet in several local jazz bands. I used to be a
public school teacher before I decided it wasn't for me. I still
keep in touch with some of my former students; they are great
people. I work for a church as the director of music. I'm also the
senior choir director.
The first things people usually notice about me
Most likely my weight, but don't let that scare you off. I'm a nice
guy with a good sense of humor and I like to have fun.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: I like to read anything by John Grisham and John Jakes. The
latter is probably my favorite; I love historical fiction.
Movies: Anything except horror movies; I prefer comedies.
Music: Almost anything. I don't like country or rap. Since I play a lot of jazz, I listen to a lot of it too, but I'm also partial to classic rock.
Food: I have a lot of different favorite foods. I'll pretty much eat anything I can cook. And yes, I can cook.

The six things I could never do without
Musical instruments (I don't care if they are more than one thing,
I need music!), my computer, probably my phone, and my friends. Can
I think of two more right now? Probably not.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Music. Since I write it, it's difficult not to think about it.
Unfortunately, I'm in the middle of a lengthy writer's block right
now; I feel like a poor tortured artist-type sometimes.
Work. It's pretty stressful a lot of the time.
Computers. I spend most of the day on them, so I tend to get absorbed in projects.

visiting family or friends, spending a quiet night at home, going
to a gig... the possibilities are endless.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm not big on talking about private stuff to the general public. I
did read on someone else's profile that they were scared of
clowns... me too, does that count? Also, I hate spiders...
