My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I hate people that say "I'm new to this, so here goes" Stop trying to deflect your shame at being on an internet dating site. Own up to it like an adult. Anyway, I'm a nerd. I drink too much coffee, which is only exceeded in consumption by alcohol. I read books. I play music. Fuck it, I'm gonna go right ahead and say it, I'm getting too old and fat. I don't care really what people think about me one way or another. I don't have that kind of time anymore.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just finished grad school and earned my Master's degree. I also work part time at a university.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Playingbass guitar. Singing and playing Thin Lizzy songs on the ol' six string acoustic guitar in the key B minor. Singing and playing everything in the key of B minor. Talking about dead people in textbooks.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My beer belly and love handles, maybe? Some random person at a bar once told me I have an awesome beard.

Scholarly monographs mostly, but now that I'm done with grad school I'm reading for fun now. The last book I finished was Journey to the End of the Night by Louis Ferdinand Celiné. Currently Reading D.H. Lawrence. Films, uh lets see: John Carpenter's The Thing (1982), Falling Down, The Big Lebowski, Aliens, Robocop, Road Warrior/Mad Max, Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, Airplane! Music? well I listen to Classic Rock/metal bands a lot, stuff like Thin Lizzy and Judas Priest but I also enjoy Metal bands that blast beat all day and gurgle in the microphone, but I'm far more discerning when it comes to bands like that. Despite having a modicum of musical ability, I have terrible taste in music. I like pizza, Mexican food and just about anything that is bad for you.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Oxygen, or whatever that shit that keeps you breathing is called....
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where all the damned coffee went?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
probably reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no idea what I'm doing with my life and I'm totally ok with that.

If you find an erudite loser to be endearing and interesting. You don't have genital stalactites or you are not morbidly obese or grotesque in the face, yea no John Merricks here please. Not that it matters, but still!
