My self-summary
I love to be social and I want to go out more often. I enjoy computer stuff (from programming to social sites) and traveling and trying new things ... and lately been happily revisiting activities and places recently rediscovered.

I am caring, creative, organized, however, I can be spontaneous as need be. I love to laugh and dance and goof off ... especially if done with intelligence and sarcasm. A personality test identified me as INTJ but I tied for ENTJ, too.

I am sassy, quirky, and have a wicked sense of humor.
What I’m doing with my life
I enjoy going out to happy hour, listening to music, seeing live bands and DJs, dancing, playing billiards/pool, bowling and throwing darts. I enjoy enjoying life these days.

I'm actively trying to live healthier, eat better and get more exercise. (it's paying off since i now weigh about what i did in HS and look better than ever).
I’m really good at
- finding the silver lining or humor in any situation and/or adapting a situation for my needs

- sleeping (when the insomnia allows me to rest, that is)

- music listening (I don't watch live TV so I listen to either my own extensive media library or an online radio stream.)

- translating complicated technical jargon into human terms that most everyone can understand (I do this well for emotion and behavior stuff, too. I tend to think and react more like a guy would than a girl. Yeah, I have emotions but I'd rather deal with logic.)
The first things people usually notice about me
- my new hair color or style; I'm often changing things up. For being an extra in the upcoming filming of SLC Punk (Punk's Dead) I'm going to do a liberty hawk. That's one of the few things I haven't ever done... so now's the time! well June when they film it.

- that I'm tall and my glasses are pretty funky these days (when I wear them)

- my breastbone tattoo of trinity spirals is pretty unique. I have a few more in various locales. including my new fave, and most recent, tat of 525600 and a musical note in green on the inside of my left wrist.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
books: Harry Potter, Poppy Z. Brite especially Lost Souls and Exquisite Corpse, Sleeping Beauty Trilogy, Christopher Buecheler

music: Green Day, Neon Trees, The Offspring, Jimmy Buffet, Bad Religion, Christopher Lawrence, Simple Plan, SR-71, Digweed, Pat Benatar and so many more. I really do enjoy going out to shows. It's funny to me how when I mention 80s songs now similar-aged folks are like "hey yeah I love that. We are from the same era." ... well I didn't listen to music in the 80s really. I was too busy climbing trees and exploring the woods I lived in and reading. In '88 I liked NKOTB but a year later I was into Tesla & Firehouse. The subsequent years I got into NIN, Marilyn Manson, Prince, and others through my CD club membership {remember those}. Via Holy Spicoli, an 80s cover band I know, I've opened up my collection to all kinds of stuff. It's been an eclectic ride but an enjoyable one for sure.

tv shows: Psych, Burn Notice, Breaking Bad, Suits, Covert Affairs and Breaking In. Finally finished One Tree Hill. Been LOVING Elementary and @midnight and Justified. On a recommendation I watched Drunk History and let me say snorting beer out of your nose while laughing causes one to choke and laugh more! (I survived in case you're wondering)

movies: Oi! some classic favorites Rocky Horror Picture Show, Officespace, Zombieland, Reservoir Dogs. I really liked (and wish they'd elaborated) Beautiful Creatures but probably bc i haven't read the books. Hard Candy was excellent! SLC Punk, loved the Veronica Mars movie and Need for Speed. I like action and adrenaline more so than drama or suspense. Easy A was super fun as was Clueless and Jawbreaker.

food: Italian, seafood, sushi, Chinese, American, Mexican ... really anything. I love flavor. I don't like to cook but can't afford to eat out all the time. Sometimes it's about compromise. And it's easier to eat healthier if I make something instead of eating out.
The six things I could never do without
1. water (not just a life or death thing but I really do enjoy water. I do drink a Sunkist or Monster Energy on occasion tho so I'm not all super healthy. LOL)

2. music (a few tracks just to lift my mood. It's amazing how a simple beat can change how I'm feeling at that moment. Sometimes the sentient-ness (HAHA I'm making up words now) of the random playlist is uncanny. Something so perfect for the moment will play or a string of the same theme ... or just some really awesome tunes. Life's too boring... get up and DANCE!

3. some sort of internet-connected electronic device (To say I'm addicted isn't quite right but it sure is fun. I like verifying factoids right when I am thinking of something. I have really cool apps on my Android.

4. texting (what needs to said that can't be done in 140 characters, really?! anything more and let's IM or meet in person.)

5. equal parts alone & social time (I'm cool with having everyone having their own friends and hobbies. It's invigorating. I'm not really a jealous type. and my boundaries aren't narrow.

6. my mom (in a best friend sort of way. she's stayed with me and supported me in all kinds of ways all these years)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
- small town camaraderie pros and cons
- which people really are my friends and which aren't
- my next hairstyle and color
- how soon I can get to a warmer climate permanently

Also, how many highlighted tag words I can randomly get away with before someone notices.

trying to do something not typical b/c i'm not a typical kind of gal
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not really a private person but I try.. keyword TRY.. to not share everything about everything. I have a (bad?) tendency to answer asked questions.
