My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I laugh a lot. I think maybe sometimes people think I'm laughing at them, when the truth is probably that I'm laughing at how awkward a situation is, or because I'm thinking about that part in Fletch where Chevy Chase says "Don't talk to me like that ass-face, I don't work for you yet". It's the "yet" that kills me.

I always, without fail, choose the wrong line at the grocery store.

My favorite word is gloaming. I hate the word 'nonplussed', because it means exactly the opposite of what it sounds like. I like maps, and trivia, and books. I like things that come in sample sizes--even though I tend to feel guilt about the packaging. I don't like it when people pass on the right, or get upset when they have to pee outside.

My favorite state I've never been to is Maine. My favorite country I've never been to is Scotland. I eat cheese like it's my job.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work at a non-profit organization, planning volunteer projects--which means on any given day I may be found counting googly eyes, pretending the garbage bag I'm wearing is a) a poncho, and b) keeping me dry, or using words like 'Snacktivities' and trying not to hate myself for it. I totally of love my job.

I was also recently accepted to graduate school. In August I'll start taking classes again for the first time since 2002. Are the kids still using highlighters? I love highlighters. If there is no highlighting in grad school, I might have to rethink this whole shebang. UPDATE: Hooray!

You laugh a lot and for a variety of reasons, you can fake a Scottish accent, or you can teach me how to can/preserve things. Or you just like beer.
