I guess you might call me a cultured nerd, think Leonard in a suit. OK well I might not always wear a suit, but you get the idea. Always been a bit of a jack of all trades and have had the opportunity to do some amazing things. Snowboarding in Breckenridge, Rock Climbing in upstate New York, waterfall hunting in PA and NC, Oceanography data capture trip in the Atlantic Ocean along with being able to present my research at conferences in Canada, Italy and Scotland. The greatest accomplishment to date though had to be getting a chapter in a book published.

Just as a note: Oceanography is not my area of research. Just an opportunity, so I had to take it.

Consider it a phase of reconstruction. Many adventures have been had, and many places have been seen. A joy as it was, most of it was alone. So what is it that I am doing. Living, seeing, enjoying: be they the small things or the big things: meals with friends, seeing family, traveling to a far off place, a good film, watching the flowers bloom, seeing the sun rise and fall.

I always liked the idea of being jack of all trade, which means master of none. A great teacher of mine once said he always wanted to be able to carry on a conversation with anyone. I don't think I am there yet, but I still have time.

2) my heart. Kind words come from and open heart, plus the blood in my body wouldn't get very far without it.

3)my family. Through tough time they have helped me stay the course and come through on the other side.

5)my cats. They bring me so much joy every day.

6)a good book. I don't read as I would like, but I still always have one on my nightstand. And yes I mean a book, there is something about the touch of a book that I enjoy along with the story.
