My self-summary
I like hanging out, cooking (and eating). Walks are fun. I love being outside and doing outdoorsy stuff, but I work outdoors most of the year so rarely object to couch naps, movie nights, bar hangs or just plain doing nothing from time to time. Don't mind traveling but would rather spend my extra money on good food, I love food.
What I’m doing with my life
Renovating/remodeling old homes and learning a lot about it as the days go by. Not sure if it's where I want to be in 5 years but I'm enjoying it and making decent money. Going to the gym a few times a week, which is new for me but I'm liking it a lot (squats are doing wonders for my ass, if I say so myself). Trying to get my nutrition dialed back in to a mostly-paleo place without being cultish about it. Also working on not giving people unsolicited dietary advice because I'm sick of arguing with people who lean vegan/vegetarian for whatever reason. You can eat the kale, I'll just have it with a hunk of meat. Thinking about investing in some snowshoes and making it a point to find somewhere to go walk around for a few hours at least every other weekend this winter.
I’m really good at
Procrastinating, cooking, eating, staying warm and being a shoulder or drinking buddy to a friend in need.
The first things people usually notice about me
Either my mustache or a wildly inappropriate comment you overheard while I was talking to my friends.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books about nutrition and nutritional science. A little fiction, but rarely. Dostoyevsky's "White Nights" is the most beautiful thing I've ever read.

Movies and TV are meh, I enjoy movies but don't geek out on them that much. Some well done gore and/or suspense is always appreciated, I also like tragically bad movies, movies like xXx make me laugh more than most comedies do.

Music? I'm listening to something 76.879% of the time that I'm awake and can't get enough. John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, Big L, Wu Tang, Ghostface!, some death metal, Sleep, Slayer, older Metallica and Iron Maiden, surf rock, friends' bands, Iris DeMent. I can't list them off, the stuff I like just comes to me in brief moments of clarity.
The six things I could never do without
Friends and family go without saying, right?
Bulletproof coffee
Red meat
Spotify
Podcasts
Good bourbon

Varies a lot. Sometimes I work Saturdays or go to the gym on Friday, so I stay home and sleep. Other times I wile the fuck out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I get mad when okcupid suggests people with shit taste in music.
