I am good humoured, easy going, and awkward.
My Self-Summary
Dammit I wrote a long interesting essay but this stupid site seems
to have deleted it... no matter... I am mainly here for the tests.
What I’m doing with my life
I could give you a great CV-spin. But. How do I say I'm a Law
student without feeling awkward... and that I'm living a LIE.
I had this idealised image of what it would be like, I guess, and
some crazy idea that I'd finally have some 'realistic' direction in
life, so I went and did it... - but in all honesty I don't know
what the hell I'm doing (do any of us really?? If you do, and have
burning vision/purpose/desire, WRITE ME.). All my life choices seem
quite accidental so far.
I suppose I chose Law because cold, hard rationality is an
extremely appealing idea to me, (maybe because I am exactly the
opposite in nature), and am in constant struggle to reconciliate
the logical with the emotional (and trying not to feel contemptuous
of the latter).
I am also in constant pursuit of some greater purpose, ...but to be
honest I don't even know what I'm going to be doing in the next
hour even (probably going to have a millionth cup of tea and
procrastinate important tasks, doing things like this). Anything
could happen. Or Nothing.
I’m really good at
Spelling. My vocabulary is atrociously limited for the amount I
read but i am a pretty good speller.
And most sports (I like to think).
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile, or lack thereof?
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books. I am a voracious reader. Haha. What a word. But seriously I
devour books like anything.
Some that come to mind - The Great Gatsby, Under the Net (actually
give me almost anything of Murdoch). Lord of the Flies, 1984, The
Beach,... Silence of the Lambs, Vernon God Little, stuff by
Banville, McEwan, Rankin(when mood strikes). Pygmalion. A Streetcar
Named Desire. detective novels. non-fiction, historical stuff and
essays, too.
Movies. Here are some I've watched quite a few times.
Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Good Morning Vietnam...;and Rambo,
Monster, Dogma, Indiana Jones, The Hours, Silence of the Lambs, My
Fair Lady, Clerks, The English Patient, Old Boy, Jay and Silent Bob
Strike Back
Food.
Kind of unadventurous in this respect. Maybe I have an
underdeveloped palate so I like basic solid food with clear tastes
you know. I drive my friends crazy because I never variate my food
choices. But to be fair I have eaten my share of exotic foodstuffs
like octopus (never again!) , snails , frogs legs (tastes like
chicken) , jellyfish (mmm chewy) , kangaroo , and yeah... exciting
huh.
Music.
I like everything. It's really irritating to have to narrow it down
to genres. Lou Reed. Johnny Cash. Springsteen. Maiden. Bowie.
Sheryl Crow. Man but I like modern catchy stuff too... and I am not
above singing along to ABBA.
The six things I could never do without
The usual. Friends/Family, Money, Books , Music , Sport and
Adventures and new experiences.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Enlightenment?
On a typical Friday night I am
Most of the time I'm definitely with friends.
Either chilling with the Xbox360 or out meeting new people...
always on the go!
