My self-summary
I'm an amateur musician and aspiring writer searching for a bearded bibliophile who doesn't take himself too seriously. If you don't have a beard, it's probably fine. If you don't have a favorite book (or genre, or author), you should take a moment and think about it. Books are cool. If you don't have a sense of humor, we won't get along.

I've lived in Asia. Now I live in America. I want to live in Europe someday.

I'm a sucker for karaoke, and I'm convinced that the best time to go onstage is right after your third drink, but never after five or more.

I love pets! Cats and dogs are both great, but small dogs are a slap in the face to evolution (I still think they're alright, though).

Last but not least, a good sense of humor can never be overstated. Seriously.
What I’m doing with my life
On a day to day basis? Strummin' the old guitar, quoting funny movies like there's no tomorrow, and planning my next trip.

I'd eventually like to be a published writer and lead writing workshops. I wouldn't turn down a winning lotto ticket, either.

I'm hoping to be a mixture of Catherine Tate, Ingrid Michaelson, and Tina Fey when I grow up.
I’m really good at
I think I'm good at making people laugh. When I try, I'm a good cook. I'm an ok musician, and I'm a decent writer when I take the time to edit. I'm also a pro at drinking wine.
The first things people usually notice about me
My laugh. Apparently it's pretty distinctive.

Also my eyes.

My voice! It carries.

Top Movies: Stranger Than Fiction, Once, Stardust, A Good Year, Inception, Definitely Maybe, Love Actually, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Princess Bride, Anchorman, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Lord of the Rings trilogy. Been on a Liam Neesan kick as of late.

Food: I'm not too picky. Highlights would be avocado, hummus, pesto, Indian food, mofongo, and the occasional Chipotle Burrito.

Comedians: Tim Minchin, Ron White, Catherine Tate, Mike Burbiglia, Stephen Fry, and Louis C.K.
The six things I could never do without
1) My friends. They're my lifelines.
2) Autumn. Best part of the year, hands down. And Halloween is better than Christmas. Pumpkin Spice Lattes are pure magic.
3) Movies.
4) Laughter. Apparently it counts as exercise. Keeps you young.
5) Music. My guitar.
6) Books. And literacy. And writing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Daydreams. As someone who hopes to make a living out of daydreaming, I consider this a pretty productive pastime.

Places I'd like to go. It's cool to imagine what I'd do and see in Rio, or London, or Bali, or Athens.

How sad I would be if my iPod or Kindle stopped working. What if aliens came to earth and rendered all technology useless? What if we hit the tipping point and electricity just stopped working? Horrible, horrible things would happen.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out at a bar. Or in, reading a book. Or at a friend's house. Or at a cafe writing. Or at a concert. Or at home with my family.

So, on a typical Friday night, I'm inconsistent.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a natural blond.

I still want to be a rock star.

I have a serious weakness for gelato.

I'm willing to admit a lot. It all depends on when the question is asked, and who is asking the question. Try me.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 23–38
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, long-distance penpals
You should message me if
-You're smiling in at least one of your pictures on here.

-You're in love with something-- art, music, your job, Nascar (Maybe not that last one, but passion is a major turn on).

-You find "That's what she said" jokes funny.

-You can write a message more interesting than "hey cutie" or "hi how u doin?" I'm not trying to be a pretentious douche here, but there are so many things to say. Why waste a good conversation on hello?

I'm looking for a nerdy intellectual with a great sense of humor, but I'm not an idiot. People usually don't know what they like until it falls into their lives.
