My Self-Summary

I am a fairly intelligent person who likes to read (a lot) and doodles on nearly every bit of paper that's handy. I have a somewhat odd sense of humor and can be rather sarcastic at times but I'm generally fairly easy-going.

What I’m doing with my life

Currently I'm working on my Master's in Counseling and Art Therapy. Eventually I hope to become a licensed counselor and art therapist, but I've got a few more years left to go before that happens.

I’m really good at

Listening, writing, drawing, anything artistic really. I also make scarves and I can be ridiculously well-organized when the situation calls for it. I'm also a decent cook.

The first things people usually notice about me

I like to observe people before I get to know them. People generally notice that and often think its a bit creepy. I think before I speak and I'm generally tucked in a corner somewhere with a book. If there's music playing, occasionally I'll follow along with it by tapping my fingers on whatever surface is handy.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Too many to list but mainly sci fi/fantasy and any sort of fiction that catches my attention.

Movies: Again, a lot, but similar to my taste in books.

Music: Nearly everything except most rap and country. I'm also a sucker for most instrumental things, particularly if they involve violins, piano, flute, and timpani.

Food: I'm addicted to chocolate. I'll try most things once.

The six things I could never do without

My iPod, my cell phone, my personal library, my laptop, and a pen and blank notebook. Of course, there's also my cat, but since I'm currently living without her, I find that its possible to manage. Difficult, but possible.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My current situation, life in general, the past, dreams, what might happen, and my friends. I also generally have some song running through my head at any given moment.

I tend to get a bit whimsical and philosophical at times, which makes for interesting conversations.

On a typical Friday night I am

Usually in my apartment watching movies, listening to music, or reading. I currently lead a rather boring life. And since my current favorite seat in my apartment is located next to windows, I also spend a lot of time contemplating the skyline and, when I can see it, the moon.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm an absolutely hopeless romantic. Granted, that's not exactly private information, but I've been one for years. I also adore storms and as a result, am in love with the fact that my 8th floor apartment is on the corner of the building and therefore I get a really good view of any and all inclement weather.
