I am the type of person who has never been able to just do one-thing with my life. I'm always finding a new passion that drives me. So I got this college degree in writing (wicked smaat), but I need stuff to write about (right), so I just do all sorts of random (well, somewhat interrelated) shit to add some colors to my palate. I've dabbled in academia, I helped organize an underground library, I've done community organizing, I've driven a delivery truck, I've been a cook, a stagehand, a bicycle mechanic, a farmhand, a puppeteer, I've worked for a magazine, I've done bike delivery, I've washed dishes, I've been a fishmonger, I've designed advertisements, I've destroyed advertisements, I renovated falling apart houses, I've painted new houses, I've done trail work in the woods, and I've lived in the woods.
(...and all these things pay better than writing. Go figure.)
Update: now, strangely, I'm working as a writer.
So ultimately learning is my passion. And like the seasons, my lifestyle evolves to accommodate these changes. And most of this is all possible because of the people I'm lucky enough to meet.
So teach me something, and I'd be happy to return the favor.
