Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name's Jack and I'm a New Zealander living in Berlin. I write
dog obituaries for a living. (I don't).
I'm definitely an extrovert. I love going out, finding new bars,
dancing in clubs, riding around Berlin looking at all its odd
Apparently I speak German like a Russian or in vaguely
philosophical way - "AM I Jack?".
I'm Vin Diesel's therapist.
Berlin is mental - show me something cool :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work at a super hipster start up in Kreuzberg as a developer.
Coffee machines, DJ booth, table-tennis - hilarious but I love
Outside work I'm still definitely in love with Berlin and trying to
discover more every night. I live in Neukölln and that's constantly
providing funny incidents - an old woman on the street recently hit
me with an umbrella (no idea why).
I'm also travelling a lot - Europe is still so new for me.
Barcelona and Budapest come very close to beating Berlin!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Conversation, meeting people, riding to work when hung over.
Trying new things. I love new experiences - even if they aren't
always good, I feel like bad experiences are better than
Finding common ground. I love talking to and meeting new people.
There's always a common interest - you just need to find it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My manly musk... no just joking. Probably my striking good looks -
ah, I can't stop. Possibly that I'm straining every muscle in my

I like to "deep-dive" into interests and I'm currently addicted to
reading. I like dark novels like Lolita, Picture of Dorian Grey,
Perfume and Great Gatsby. I call that genre "Dissolute Gentry".
I've also been really into the classics: Age of Innocence,
Villette, Of Human Bondage.
For films anything Wes Anderson or Scorcese. Her, The Master and
Blue is the Warmest colour are absolute favourites right now. The
latter was heart rending - could definitely relate.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If people should really take photos when they travel. I have

confidence. Men are always walking through my office fiddling with
things and no-one know's who they are! (That sounds rude).
Is there anything greater than listening to Exit Music For A Film
in a beanbag and crying? (Yes, but it is quite good).
On a typical Friday night I am

Out on Brunswick street with friends or drinking late night coffee
at the Black Cat.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I killed a man in Reno... just to watch him die.
I also went to IKEA really high once. Sat in the fake childrens'
