My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name's Jack and I just moved from Melbourne to Berlin.

I love books, coffee, space, girls and taking risks.

I speak German like a child, (I call my dialect Rat-Deutsch), but I'm always keen to practice and I'm fluent in English to the point of loquacity.

I'm pretty new here so would love to meet locals and see something new. Guidebooks can be so predictable.

I'm definitely an extrovert.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I was working as web designer and app developer in Melbourne - don't worry I'm not a hipster. Although... I recently watched a game of bike polo.

I moved to Berlin to chill and take stock of life. I want to avoid work as long as possible, explore Berlin by bike and find cool bars and cafes.

I also have a mountain of novels to get through so the sun-washed parks of Berlin seem like the perfect setting.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Conversation, meeting people, riding to work when hung over.

Trying new things. I love new experiences - even if they aren't always good, I feel like bad experiences are better than none.

Finding common ground. I love talking to and meeting new people. There's always a common interest - you just need to find it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My manly musk... no just joking. Probably my striking good looks - ah, I can't stop. Possibly that I'm straining every muscle in my face trying to understand their German.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like to "deep-dive" into interests and I'm currently addicted to reading. I like dark novels like Lolita, Picture of Dorian Grey, Perfume and Great Gatsby. I call that genre "Dissolute Gentry". I've also been really into the classics: Age of Innocence, Villette, Of Human Bondage.

For films anything Wes Anderson or Scorcese. Her, The Master and Blue is the Warmest colour are absolute favourites right now. The latter was heart rending - could definitely relate.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If people should really take photos when they travel. I have thousands from other trips that I've never looked at. This time they'll have to be novel. (Let me know if you have some ideas).

Whether I should try and learn French again. If I can cook a meal without a capsicum in it.

What's the best way to kill two birds with one stone?...
(Drop it on a bird's nest)

How much could one get away with when they assume an air of confidence. Men are always walking through my office fiddling with things and no-one know's who they are! (That sounds rude).

Is there anything greater than listening to Exit Music For A Film in a beanbag and crying? (Yes, but it is quite good).

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out on Brunswick street with friends or drinking late night coffee at the Black Cat.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I killed a man in Reno... just to watch him die.

I also went to IKEA really high once. Sat in the fake childrens' room and was petrified.
