My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
*** Quick note - if you don't live within a subway ride from Manhattan or currently have children, unfortunately we're not a good match. Thanks!

Jerry: Have ya been to the Motor Vehicle Bureau? It's a leper colony there.
Elaine: So, basically what you're saying is 95% of the population is undatable?
Jerry: UNDATABLE.
Elaine: So how are all these people gettin' together?
Jerry: Alcohol.

This is where most people blather on about looking great in a tux and jeans, long walks on the beach, lazy Sundays, breathing air, blah, blah, blah...so, to avoid being Captain Redundant, I'll just say that among other things I'm a very good conversationalist, I like sarcastic/geeky humor, hiking, kayaking, sailing, live music, dogs, travelling to different countries and love NYC for all it has to offer. It really is a procrastinator's utopia, the pinnacle of convenience. Just moved to the west village and loving it.

I just left a global software company to build a startup. Time for change. Still, I'd rather be making films. Made a short film at NYFA - it was a fantastic experience - being a filmmaker would be my answer to the dream job question.

Who am I looking for? Intelligence and integrity are a must, as well as being confident (but not conceited), grounded (but not boring), and passionate/creative (but not crazy!) Looks are important as well in that there has to be a strong physical attraction in addition to a deep mental connection in order to create real passion.

Bottom line - can we learn from each other as well as crack each other up until it hurts? And while I love watching drama on the big screen, I'm not a fan of it in a relationship, so if you're someone who thrives on it, we're definitely not a match.

Oh, and bonus points if you love Family Guy, Game of Thrones, jalapenos and have a dog. ;)

Mostly read on the interwebs now but....The War of Art, The Alchemist, The Singularity is Near, books on relativity, Wired, Economist, Engadget....

Music is a tough one...with the proliferation and ease of buying digital downloads over the past 5 or so years, I've become somewhat of a fast food junkie across the spectrum depending on my mood. (rock, pop, electronica, classical, blues, etc.) But there will be no Britney, Lady Gag-a or country in my library. Ever.

Movies...so many to list but at the risk of being cliche and obivous: Godfather, American Beauty, Schindler's List, Billy Elliott, Up (anything from Pixar, except Cars 2), Old School, Shawshank, Lord of the Rings, 2001 Space Odyssey, Dr. Strangelove, Spaceballs, Braveheart, Hurt Locker, Moon, Pan's Labrynth, Star Wars IV, Inglorious Basterds (only QT movie I like besides Dogs)

TV (current/past)...Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Veep, Family Guy, Curb your Enthusiasm, Robot Chicken, BSG, Six Feet Under (best series finale of all time imo), Game of Thrones, Homeland, walking dead...

Food...anything Italian or Mexican (I love spicy food). Although I typically try to eat healthy as much as possible (and by that I don't mean a diet coke w/ my chili cheese fries ;)
