I believe my intro lets you know my place of birth - good ol' Texas. I was born and raised in Houston and attended U.T. in undergrad for psychology. After graduation, I spent a year working in an elementary school and returned back to U.T. for graduate school. I joined OKC through the encouragement of a friend who found a successful partner on this site. So, might as well try it out since I haven't had such luck in person.
A few little tid-bits: I love travel and occasionally feel the need to 'escape' routine life in the city or in the U.S. Along with domestic travel, these bouts of adventure have taken me to Kenya, Spain, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. I love the Spanish language and Spanish culture. I am able to communicate in the language, but would certainly not deem myself fluent. I'd appreciate any assistance in the Spanish-language category!
In general, I do not feel as though I can adequately summarize my 23 years of life stories, adventures, and experiences into this small little box. I understand that I could type an extensive self-summary here, but I would much prefer to have a legitimate conversation in person.
Until then, I'll give you a few fun facts:
- I'm a morning person
- I enjoy morning workouts
- breakfast = amazing
- Intellectual and substantial conversations > surface conversations
- I thoroughly enjoy wakeboarding (this does not mean I'm good at it).
- I saw snow for the first time in 2011 (snow that stuck to the ground. Texas "snow" did not count for good reason).
- I'm an open book.
