My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First thing you should know, Karl Pilkington is my hero. If that's enough for you, skip the rest and message me now, hah. Anyway.

My name is Kyle and I'm 28. I'm a huge sports fan and computer nerd. I value honesty above just about everything and am looking for someone to share the joys of life with.

I also value intelligence highly. Someone who can keep me challenged intellectually will do a lot more for me than someone who just looks good and is dumb.

I have a wide range and diversity of interests. At different times, I'll be focusing on completely different things. I don't think I could realistically name all of my interests, so feel free to ask me about anything you might be interested in... chances are I'll have an opinion on it, at least!

I test as INTJ on the Myers-Briggs test, if that is something that interests you.

Oh, if I've messaged you and I'm a decent ways away from where you live, do not worry! I love driving and will gladly come visit as much as is needed if we hit it off.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently dealing with some pretty heavy family issues, and that has hindered long term plans somewhat.

Those issues should be getting cleared up very soon, and I'm back to looking towards a great future. I'm close to an Accounting degree that will only take me a few more quarters to finish once I'm able to do that.

I also still want to start my own business... I make some absolutely awesome spicy sauces(I call them Nuclear Sauce!) that I want to get into selling once I have the opportunity to do it properly.

Oh, and if it's ever possible to make a living off of storm chasing, I'll drop everything else and do that. I've known since I was about 8 it's what I wanted to do, but currently it's just relegated to a hobby.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at a lot of things... I love debating things, especially philosophically. I have a real talent for quickly understanding a situation and reacting to it.

I'm a pretty darn good gamer too. Great reaction times. I tend to end up being one of the best at whatever game I start playing.

I'm also a very good bowler. It's one of the things I've done well for a long time.

I have also been told I'm great at helping people through their problems. I apparently have a knack for saying the exact right thing, plus I can usually look at things from a completely different perspective than most people do.

Something I'm not that good at: brevity. I've tried cutting this profile down a few times but it's still pretty long. Sorry bout that!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well, I would imagine my beard is the very first thing. But in terms of personality, people usually pick up that I'm very intelligent very quick. I think people also notice that I stutter pretty quick.

Oh, people probably notice I'm a bit quiet at first, too. But once I get comfortable around someone, I often don't shut up for awhile, hah. My parents often say the first word I learned was "incessantly" for that very reason.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Not a big book reader, mostly just sports books if I do. Stuff like Moneyball and the Bill James New Historical Baseball Abstract. In the past I read quite a few Steven King books, and they were excellent. Oh, I also read a lot of the Star Wars expanded universe books when I was younger. A lot of fun those were.

For movies, I'll list all the ones that come to mind. Star Wars. Die Hard. The Last Boyscout. Shawshank Redemption. 50/50. 500 Days of Summer. The King's Speech. The Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy. Inception. War Games. Fail Safe. The Day After(the 1983 movie about nuclear war). Dr. Strangelove. Twister. 12 Angry Men. Casablanca. The Natural. The Cooler.

Oh, and all campy made-for-Syfy movies. Especially the disaster ones. They're good because they're so bad. How can you not like a movie called "Ragin' Cajun Redneck Gators"??? "Annihilation: Earth" is likely my favorite. If you have to check every Saturday what their new movie of the week will be, just call me now and lets start dating, haha.

Also, Rifftrax can make any movie awesome.

TV shows, I'm a big fan of Doctor Who, Futurama, South Park, Daily Show, Colbert Report, House, The Newsroom, Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman, The Ricky Gervais Show, old Simpsons, old Family Guy, Jericho, Merlin, Cheers, M*A*S*H, 3rd Rock From the Sun, Bones, and probably more that aren't coming to mind.

Oh, and I like most anything on the History Channel that is ACTUALLY ABOUT HISTORY. /shakes fist at Pawn Stars and the like. I even enjoy the crazy stuff like "The Nostradamus Effect" and "Ancient Aliens". You gotta take them with a grain of salt, but they're somewhat interesting and pretty entertaining to watch.

Music wise... Outside of being a huge Parrothead(Jimmy Buffett fan!) I tend to like a lot of classic rock and country type music.

Food wise, I'll try most of anything. Fruit is probably my favorite type of food. I'm also a huge spicy food addict, I have an ever growing collection of insane hot sauces and tend to bring some with me to restaurants because no one has stuff spicy enough for me... hah.

Oh, and video game wise, I mostly just do PC games. I'm still a recovering WoW addict, and I spend the gaming time I do have on Civ V, Borderlands 2, Arkham City, and now Divinity 2. I tend to focus mostly on RPGs and sports games, along with strategy games. I'm not that great at FPS but they're fun to play with others.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. The truth
2. My friends
3. The internet/my computer/Reddit
4. My family
5. My car
6. My ever growing collection of hot sauces(currently around 15 with at least two of them at 1+ million scoville units)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My future and where I'm going. It's been in flux for a long time, and I'm the type of person that likes to analyze things as much as possible to understand them. I also think a lot about my interaction with friends/etc. and how I can improve on the way I act around them.

Also, I probably spend too much time thinking about science and history stuff. I'm practically obsessed with the Cold War era and the philosophies of that time when it comes to the leaders of the major powers and stuff like that. I also find current discoveries in advanced physics(Higgs boson, etc.) to be fascinating and I spend time trying to understand it all and figure out what it can mean.

Oh, I also wonder how badly Psychology students/graduates want to study the interactions on this site... hah.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Possibly subbing in a bowling league on Friday nights. Besides that, nothing really set in stone. I'm not a big bar person... but basically anything else is fair game.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a sucker for a sappy love story, I like believing that type of thing can actually happen.

Oh, and my biggest guilty pleasure is probably Taylor Swift music.

You don't mind dealing with someone that stutters. It's not that bad at all, and once I'm comfortable around someone, they can at times forget about it because I can become very fluent, but it's still something that will always be there and I'm sure can be frustrating to deal with at times. People tell me I handle it better than anyone else they know that stutters, though.

You want to play a very competitive game of Stratego. I have the board and pieces!

Or you're just interested. I greatly enjoy meeting new people and just talking about random things. Even if it doesn't lead to something, it can still be fun and a good use of our time.
