My Self-Summary
This space just seems to invite hilarity. God knows I've been
cracking myself up.
I'm fun and looking to meet new people. See below for my interests.
What I’m doing with my life
Figuring things out.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I like contemporary literature. My favorite authors include
Margaret Atwood, David Foster Wallace, Michael Chabon (but usually
not the last 50 pages), P.G. Wodehouse, and Joan Didion. Some of my
favorite books are The Known World, The Crossing, and A Hero of Our
Time. I have a hard time with non-fiction. I think I read too much
of it at work.
Most of my music collection is a snapshot of a sensitive boy's
indie rock collection circa 1992-1998 with a smattering of later
stuff courtesy of my much cooler sister. I also love classic rock,
well, I love Led Zeppelin. But really, what I listen to most is
NPR. Sometimes I wake up really early, turn on my radio and fall
back asleep. Bits and pieces of segments make their way into my
groggy brain. Then when I am actually up and listening I will have
these weird moments where I think they are talking about my
dreams.
Here's where it gets a little nerdy. I like sci-fi. I miss
Battlestar Galactica. I dig most comic book movies. I also really
like comedies. One of my all time favorites scenes in a movie is
the opening of jackass 2.5. I think the Hangover is the best movie
I've seen this year. Oh, also Up. TV and me are tight. You'll never
catch me banishing TV from my home. Love 30 Rock, of course, Curb,
and Bored to Death I watch because of Zach Galifinakis.
The six things I could never do without
Candy - Haribo!!
Spell check - I have self-diagnosed dyslexia
My cats - Frances and James, both skittish but very sweet.

You should message me if
I want to meet someone that can keep up. I absolutely cannot spend
time with someone I can't talk to. Couples that eat in silence at
restaurants make me shudder. This is not to say you must always be
talking. In fact, please, don't be always talking. I promise to do
the same.
Thoughtfulness is also much appreciated. Simple things, for
example, passing me the wine menu when you are finished with it or
noticing that I am wearing a cast.
I would love to meet someone that can not only type, but also speak
into whatever mobile device he carries. Texting is great. But
sometimes I just want to hear the sound of your voice.
Also, no winks please.
