My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Brian. I'm looking for a girlfriend. The Yankees hat is kind of a diversionary tactic. I have a passing interest in baseball during pennant games.

I wish I could set my location to Bayonne, NJ and Brooklyn, NY. I'm back and forth between the two.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have an Electrical and Computer Engineering degree from Rowan University. Currently, I am finishing my masters degree, which will be in National Security with a focus in Cyber Security.

Lately I've been getting into boardgaming more. Lords of Waterdeep, Mansions of Madness, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Carcassonne, and special editions of Risk.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Walking. Listening. Thinking. Eating ice cream. Spreadsheets. Sleeping. Buying things for less than their actual value. Fixing computer software problems for people. Patience. Writing papers about disaster recovery. Turn-based strategy games. Anime Music Video editing once in a while. I like planning, branch efficiency, finding the lowest number of steps to complete something. I'm pretty good at fencing if I practice at it.

I used to be pretty good at RTS games but haven't gotten into any MOBAs. I like playing 4 player games: Starwhal, Smash Bros, any of the Wii games, Guilty Gear Isuka (one of the only 2D 4 player fighting games), and probably Broforce when that comes out, heh.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I still get carded for buying alcohol. So I must look younger than 21 to a lot of people. I kind of like that.

I have no New Jersey accent even though I've lived here my entire life. I have a neutral tv accent which is actually an amalgam of Midwest accents, I've read. I am not put off by anyone's accent though. I can drop into a decent Maine accent if I'm around people from Maine for a few days. People have complimented me on my voice, which I find strange.

I made a huge image of my Facebook Likes a million years ago:

TV: The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, MythBusters, Saturday Night Live, South Park, Superjail!, The Sarah Silverman Program, Metalocalypse, Futurama, Top Gear, Ugly Americans, The Venture Bros., and Arrested Development. Lately Game of Thrones, Legend of Korra, Doctor Who, and Archer. I've seen every episode of the U.S. MasterChef. No regrets.

Movies: I like too many movies to list. Most of my favorites are by Tarantino, Studio Ghibli and gainax.
If I had to pick a favorite live action movie, it would be a tie between The Princess Bride and Fight Club. The most accurate movie about hacking ever made is Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Charlie Chaplin's speech at the end of The Great Dictator is one of the best movie scenes of all time.

Music: I like a lot of music. Up-tempo and loud for long car trips with night driving. I'll listen to just about anything except for country music produced in the last 40 years.. with the exception of a few Johnny Cash songs. My favorite music genre is painfully self-aware 90's ska. Anything in alternative rock from any time period has sort of a timeless quality to it. Muse. I enjoy rock more when you can tell the composer has really planned out and polished a song while pushing what can be done with the rock aesthetic.

Food I Like: sushi, pumpkin pie, pizza, cheerios, pasta, rice, steak, chicken, ham, salad, milk, coffee ice cream, yogurt, any green or white vegetable, fruit, and potatoes. Pretty much any take-out is fine too. Rita's vanilla gelati with cherry ice.

Food I Dislike: whole tomatoes, eggs (other than scrambled and covered in ketchup or deviled), anything that tastes the way fish smell, beets, coleslaw, potato salad or macaroni salad with dressing that tastes bad, stinky tofu and black licorice.

Video games:
I've played a lot of video games. I'm not going to list them all. The only ones I've consistently played for years are ones from the Advance Wars series and Dwarf Fortress. I think that the Monster Hunter series is one of the most underrated franchises in video game history. Two of my favorite recent fan remakes are Super Mario Bros. Crossover and Not Tetris 2. I'm a fan of every 2D Final Fantasy game. Dragon's Dogma is my latest favorite game. The entire Way of the Samurai game series is great. Way of the Samurai 4 is fun but lacks some of the mechanics that made 3 so tense and difficult.

Conventions:
Most of the major east coast anime conventions, including: Otakon, Anime Weekend Atlanta, AnimeUSA, Katsucon, and New York Comic Con. Usually I get in for free because of various music video projects I coordinate.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The internet, a portable gaming system or laptop if the power/internet goes out, interesting people and places, a large editing/art project to work on, my family and getting away from the world once in a while.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The Ackermann function.

EMPs and how to survive the lack of food and clean water in the wake of a 1 year technology blackout.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
This is a weird question. I'll just put my schedule here.

I'm free weekdays after 6:00 PM. Sometimes my schedule changes, and I have a weekday off. I can easily take a weekday off with a little notice.

I'm completely free on weekends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I skip a lot of meals. Some people call it fasting. I just get so into reading news or watching youtube videos that I forget to eat.
I usually eat when I am extremely hungry or am going to exercise.
